WINTER REC BASKETBALL — REGISTRATION OPEN

Registration is now OPEN for our In-House Winter REC Basketball Program for all North Branford residents in Grades K–8!

Why register early? Early registration helps our board finalize practice and game schedules and ensures we have enough time to order jerseys and have them ready for the start of the season.

Interested in coaching? Volunteer registration is now available for the 2027 season. If you're interested in coaching, please complete the volunteer registration during the sign-up process.

A great basketball camp to help develop skills and fundamentals!

As we wrap up our travel basketball season, North Branford had two teams that had the opportunity to represent our town themselves and the program at this year’s New England basketball championship in Rhode Island. The tournament gave the opportunity for the athletes to play outside of their division outside of their state and gain experience playing other teams. The best part of the whole experience was watching the athletes bond with one another and the camaraderie that they built both on and off the court during the weekend tournaments. Great job again and we look forward to building for season next season! 🦅 💜

Way to go T-Birds!! So proud of you ladies!

The trio of the North Branford captains Skylar Gage, Ella Chasanoff and Emma Preiss combined for all but two of their team's points to lead the seventh-seeded Thunderbirds to a 54-38 victory over Innovation in the CIAC Division 5 girls basketball championship on Saturday morning.

It is North Branford's fifth CIAC championship and its first since beating Stonington for the Class M title in 1989.

A great job to all of our individual winners, as well as team winners for their fundraising efforts this past season. A few pictures from some of the different players and teams that were highlighted in their efforts to raise money for our program.

Congratulations to our 4th grade girls travel team. This is their first year, competing in this travel and it has been awesome to watch these girls come together as a team, build camaraderie great teamwork. They were able to make it all the way to their conference championship game! It was a hard for battle that they should be very proud of. Was awesome to see what a season for the coaches and the players. Congratulations on your first year girls and we look forward to you building as a fifth grade travel next year!
