Nice article by Robert Thompson today in "The Week in Golf" on Moe Norman. It just shows that no matter how strange your golf swing might look, if you can repeat it and know where your shot is going, you can have some fun playing golf.

There was an excellent article by GC on golfchannel.com that details the difficulties of building a top rated NCAA golf program in the northern part of the U.S. Congratulations to the University of Illinois for building such a terrific program under coach Mike Small and his continuing group of talented players.

So sad to wake up to the news that golfing legend Billy Casper passed away Saturday night. Condolences to his wife Shirley and his whole family.

He was such an enjoyable man to be around and will be missed by all those that had the chance to meet him.

Tiger Woods is working on another iteration of his swing with new swing “consultant”, Chris Como. Unfortunately for Tiger, as we saw this past weekend, he has to test his “new” swing against the best players in the world. For most of us, we just have to test our swing changes with our regular foursome. But even though golf isn’t our livelihood, we still want to make sure that when we make changes, we can still play the game.



That’s why the golf off-season is a great time to start working on your swing. You can start to work on the shortcomings that you dealt with during the year without having to lose to your friends in the process. So grab your favorite club and start fixing some of the leaks.



Training Mode on the SwingSmart App is a great place to start. Start out with some swings to see where you are now and then try to work on the changes you or your instructor would like to see you make. It can make a big difference in your game for next year and unlike Tiger, you won’t even have to borrow your Mom's VCR to start getting some feedback on your swing.
