All Hail Francis!
The details of departure have been revealed, and are raising significant chatter regarding fighter pay and insurance clauses when it comes to persons signed to the promotion.
The UFC was willing to offer Ngannou $8M with the fight against Jones, along with a 3 fight extension; likely around a $5M/fight mark.
Ngannou was requesting to have in-cage sponsors allowed back into the promotion, along with fighter health insurance and Fighter Advocates be established for all fighters on the UFC roster.
These requests were not met, and Ngannou elected to pursue other opportunities.
