Opening Weekend = SUCCESS!
This weekend wasn’t perfect, but it was exactly what we needed.
Finished as the Tennessee Fast pitch - Mid-South Summer Showdown “Runner Up”!
It was great to have our 18U sisters at the same tourney supporting us!
We battled weather delays, schedule changes, and a long lunch break that left us with a little bit of a “hangover” when we got back on the field. For a game, we didn’t quite look like ourselves.
But our Bullets responded!
What made me proud wasn’t the stats, hits, strikeouts, or wins. It was watching this group regroup, refocus, and come together when things got tough.
In our final game, we found our swagger.
The energy was different.
The confidence was different.
The way we played for each other was different.
That last game gave us a glimpse of what this team can become when we’re locked in and competing for one another.
I know Coach Jaycee was proud of what she saw this weekend. She saw a talented group of young ladies who play hard, support each other, and represented the EC Bullets!
The stats are great, and we’ll celebrate them, but the biggest win was seeing the foundation being built for what this team can become.
This is just the beginning.
