Well last night just wasn’t our night! Went out for hot laps and the car was a little tight in the middle of the corners. Decided to move a bar and while I was doing that the rear end shifted way back. I didn’t realize it at the time but the yoke fell out of the transmission. So when I went to take of for qualifying the car didn’t move. Jump out of the car and thrashed as fast as I could but as I was getting my belts on the last car was pulling on the track. I didn’t make it. That out me starting 7th in my heat race. Changes were great and I was running 4th and got smoked right in the visor with about a 3” diameter rock. It popped my visor open and that split second deal cost me two spots. Finished 6th. In the feature I started 11th row outside. Holy smokes. Car felt great but coming out of 2 and 4 you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. I came out of 4 at one point and couldn’t see where I was at but the front stretch wall let me know very abruptly! 🤣 ran a few laps after that and decided to pull off the track. I’ll get back in the shop and hopefully get the car ready to go for Lucas Oil Speedway next Friday!
