Lakes Area Lazers Fastpitch SB Team dug deep and battled weather delays, long travels, hot / fast-paced games, a few challenging opponents, comeback victories, 1 ornery cross-eyed(?) ump, and achieved some lasting memories in their 2nd Place (Silver Bracket) this weekend. 💪
● We are VERY(!) proud of these AWESOME young ladies and feel VERY blessed to have been able to share a summer with such top-notch athletes (AND humans!).
● For all the Families, Coaches, Supporters, AND SPONSORS, please know we appreciate all you did and sacrificed to make this happen. THANK YOU!!

Lakes Area Lazers 18U Impressive In Win Against Rebels Select 16U

Lakes Area Lazers 18U easily dispatched Rebels Select 16U on Sunday, 8-1.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U got on the board in the first inning after Caylee Foote doubled, scoring one run.

MaKenna Anderson doubled down the left field line, which helped Rebels Select 16U tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U made the score 5-1 in the bottom of the second after Lydia scored after tagging up, Caylee Foote singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U added one run in the third after Erin Thesing grounded out.

Lydia earned the win for Lakes Area Lazers 18U. The pitcher surrendered six hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking none. Kendall Swann led things off in the circle for Rebels Select 16U. The pitcher gave up five hits and five runs (four earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking one.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U piled up eight hits in the game. Caylee Foote and Hailey Salzbrun were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lakes Area Lazers 18U. Caylee Foote led Lakes Area Lazers 18U with two runs batted in. The switch hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Lydia stole two bases.

MaKenna Anderson led Rebels Select 16U with one run batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Number seven hitter, Alexis Hoffman, showed the depth of Rebels Select 16U's lineup, by leading them with three hits in three at bats.

Rust Drives 4 Runners Home In Lakes Area Lazers 18U Victory Over MN Diamond Divas Hs 2025 18U

Grace Rust drove in four runs on three hits to lead Lakes Area Lazers 18U past MN Diamond Divas Hs 2025 18U 15-6 on Saturday. Grace Rust doubled in the third inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the first inning, scoring one.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Grace Rust doubled down the left field line, Tayla Vought singled to left field, and Shauna Geiser singled to right field, each scoring one run.

An error, and a ground out by Tayla Vought helped Lakes Area Lazers 18U extend their early lead in the second.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Betsy Geiser singled, scoring two runs, Grace Rust doubled, scoring two runs, and Madison Funk drew a walk, scoring one run.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U Captures Lead Late In Victory Over Warriors Bjerkness 16U

Lakes Area Lazers 18U beat Warriors Bjerkness 16U 7-5 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fourth when Braelyn Becker doubled, scoring two runs.

Tayla Vought collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Tayla Vought doubled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U got on the board in the first inning after Tayla Vought doubled, scoring one run.

Emily Bjerkness grounded out, which helped Warriors Bjerkness 16U tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Warriors Bjerkness 16U took the lead in the top of the third inning after Lakes Area Lazers 18U committed an error, Corrina Rabasco doubled down the left field line, Corrina Rabasco scored after tagging up, and Molly Weiss grounded out, each scoring one run.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Braelyn Becker that drove in two.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U won thanks in part to seven runs in the third inning. an error scored one run, an error scored two runs, Madi Funk singled, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Lakes Area Lazers 18U opened the scoring in the first after Tayla Vought tripled, scoring one run.

A double by Madi Funk, and a single by Tayla Vought helped Lakes Area Lazers 18U extend their early lead in the second.

■ Pool Play Game #2 = LAZERS vs N MN MONARCHS 16U at 11 am (Field 1)

Bracket Play (Double Elimination) will begin after:
● 1st place in their Pool (Pool E) will play at 3:30 pm on the same field. Winners keep playing at 8 am Sun, 1230, 330, 5 (if needed)
● 2nd place - 2 pm (Field 5) > winners plays again at 5 pm, 930 am Sun, 2 pm Sun, 5 pm Sun, 6 pm (if needed)
