We stand united in remembrance of the brave first responders, service members, and everyday citizens who showed unmatched courage in the face of tragedy.
May we always hold their memory close and continue to support one another as a strong, united community.

Volunteer Board Positions Available

The Nickerson Recreation Commission is seeking two dedicated community members to join our board. These are voluntary, non-compensated positions focused on enhancing local recreation programs and community initiatives.

Responsibilities & Expectations
Attend regularly scheduled board meetings
Contribute constructive ideas and strategic input
Assist with community events and operational needs as required

This is a reminder that the deadline to register for our upcoming youth Volleyball and Flag Football seasons is quickly approaching. We currently have 23 days remaining to accept registrations. The registration fee is $20 per participant. To ensure our leagues run smoothly and schedules can be finalized, we kindly ask that you sign up your children as soon as possible.

You are invited to attend the upcoming Nickerson Recreation Commission Meeting on Thursday, July 23rd at 5:00 PM at the Nickerson Community Center.
We will be discussing plans for our upcoming round of sports. Your input and involvement are highly valued as we plan for the next season.

Nickerson Rec Announcement: Fall Sports Registration Open! 🏈 🏐
Sign-ups are officially live for our youth Flag Football and Volleyball programs!
Volleyball (Grades 1–3): Skills & instructional clinic focusing on fundamentals.
Volleyball (Grades 4–6): Structured team practices and league games.
Flag Football (Grades 1–6): Full program available for all eligible age groups.
Important Registration Details:

Deadline: All registrations must be completed by August 10th.
Payment Note: paying by cash or check, please drop off your payment of $20 at the Nickerson City Hall.
