West advances to the next round in the Salt River Conference!!

WJMS A Team 2026 Victorious Over Boyle county

WJMS A Team 2026 beat Boyle county 6-2 on Friday at 2101 Wilmore Rd.

Boyle county opened the scoring in the first after Cox singled, scoring one run.

Farron McCoy singled to left field, which helped WJMS A Team 2026 tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.

WJMS A Team 2026 took the lead in the bottom of the third. Morgan Horvath drew a walk, scoring one run, to give WJMS A Team 2026 the leg up, 2-1.

WJMS A Team 2026 committed an error, which helped Boyle county tie the game at two in the top of the fifth.

WJMS A Team 2026 made the score 6-2 in the bottom of the fifth after Bailey Johnson tripled, scoring one run, McCoy doubled, scoring two runs, and Taylor Rawlins singled, scoring one run.

Channing Estes started the game for WJMS A Team 2026. The left-handed pitcher gave up four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking three. Avery started in the circle for Boyle county. The hurler surrendered six hits and two runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two.

WJMS A Team 2026 amassed 11 hits in the game. McCoy led WJMS A Team 2026 with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Estes went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead WJMS A Team 2026 in hits. Kady Davis and Aubree Nickell each collected multiple hits for WJMS A Team 2026. Estes stole two bases.

Number seven hitter, Kinley Fitzpatrick, showed the depth of Boyle county's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Cox went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Cox stole two bases. Boyle county were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kylee Hague had the most chances in the field with three.
