The Jaguars season came to an end this evening as they were only able to muster up 39 points against a formidable DCA squad. Cole Oram (13 pts) and Tyson Duke (10 pts) were able to pace the Jags. Jackson Hill came off the bench and scored 8 pts and snagged 3 rebs. East finishes the season at 15-17. The EJHS Boys Basketball Coaching Staff would like to thank all students and fans who have shown their support for this very special group of young men. We are also very proud of our players and the work they put in for this season and we wish nothing but the best for our 3 graduating seniors (Micah Anglin, Jackson Hill, & Jackson Thomas). 3 fine young men with very bright and promising futures! Go Jags and East Pride!!

The Jags drop a heartbreaker on a layup that rimmed out at the buzzer to their cross-town counterparts. Cole Oram led the way with 15 pts & 5 steals. Tyson Duke had 9 pts, 5 rebs, & 3 assts and Micah Anglin contributed 9 pts & 2 steals. The boys 12th Region Tournament draw will take place tomorrow morning at 10 :30 AM @ Pulaski Co HS. East will find out their opponent then. Huge shoutout to the EJHS student body pep section that represented our team this evening! You folks were nothing short of spectacular!! Go East and Roll Jags!!!!

Final

East was able to put away against a scrappy Mercer Co squad in a “loser leaves town” game. Cole Oram (14 pts, 11 rebs) and Tyson Duke (10 pts, 10 rebs) both posted double-doubles for the winners. Carter Wolfe scored 11 pts and delivered 4 assts. The story of the night though for the Jaguars was Micah Anglin, who scored 12 pts, dished out 3 assts, but most importantly, held Mercer Co’s leading scorer to 0 points. Up Next will be archrival West Jessamine on Friday night on the west side of town for the 46th District championship! Game time is set for 7 PM. Survive and advance!

Final

The Jags took one on the chin as they fell to the Pirates in dominating fashion. Jackson Hill came off the bench to led East with 13 pts, 3 rebs, & 3 assts. Carter Wolfe was able to get back on track and lead the way for East as he contributed 14 pts, 4 assts, 3 rebs, & 2 steals. Micah Anglin was the other bright spot for the Jaguars as he finished with 11 pts & 2 steals. The Jaguars will now open up postseason play next week as the #2 seed in the 46th District Tournament and will take on the #3 seed Mercer Co. The game will be at West Jessamine High School and is scheduled for a 7:30 tip

Final (OT)

East was able to hold on in a back and forth OT thriller at home against the Titans. Cole Oram scored only 8 pts, but he saved his best for the last possession of the game as he slashed into the paint and hit a tough one-handed runner that gave the Jags the lead for good. Also paving the way this evening was sophomore Tyson Duke in another stellar performance of 16 pts, 5 rebs, 3 assts, & 2 steals. Micah Anglin came up huge down the stretch scoring 5 crucial points that helped resurrect the Jaguar’s offense. Anglin finished with 12 pts & 2 assts. Carter Wolfe had a very strong 2nd half as he ended up with 11 pts, 3 assts, & 3 steals. East will finish up their regular season schedule this Friday evening as they make their way over to Stanton and play one of the 14th region favorites in Powell Co. JV plays at 6 PM and Varsity at 7:30 PM
