Looking for the perfect present can be tricky. I’ve been seeing someone for a couple of months. I really like him, and I’m thinking of gift ideas.

Here’s the deal, I know where he keeps a spare key to his apartment. I was going to dress up in sexy red lingerie, and sneak into his bed to surprise him. He works the midnight shift, which will give me a window of opportunity.

Could really use your angle on this one. Asked my best friend, but she shot it down quickly. Hope to hear back from you in time for Christmas.

I’m with your best friend on this one. Has he ever told you to feel free to use the key to let yourself in any time you please? This is an important question, because knowing where his spare is, and using it, are two very different things.

A few months of dating is not a significant amount of time. This can be a gigantic gift-gone-wrong outcome. He may feel you violated his privacy.

It’s possible that he is not ready to take your relationship to the next level. Doing this may come off as pressure, potentially putting an end to your relationship all together.

Ultimately, the decision is yours to make. Still…you asked for my angle, and I say abort this mission immediately!

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRASH, TENANT OR LANDLORD?

Dear Angie’s Angle,

I’d like to request a post for public opinion.

Every week, the people living in the apartment building across the street put their garbage bags out, without a can or bin. As I’m sure you can predict, it then becomes a feeding frenzy at night for all of the neighborhood critters, making a huge mess.

The garbage men won’t pick it up because it’s now open. Should the owner of the apartment building be responsible for providing garbage cans, so the garbage is not just left at the road to be destroyed? Or, should it be the person who is actually throwing out the garbage? I have included pictures for you.

Dear Dazed and Confused,

It’s unfortunate that this is an every week nuisance for you. Littering is unacceptable and I can bet that you are not the only person in the community bothered by these inconsiderate offenders.

Anybody who has not just crawled up from under a rock, or from living in isolation for a long long time, certainly has to be aware of the proper methods for garbage disposal.

However, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so it’s possible that they are just starting out on their own, or are physically or mentally handicapped in some way.

In either case, yes! The landlord or property owner is responsible for providing the garbage cans or bins. Even if it is in the rental agreement and the tenant is failing to comply, it still is up to the landlord/owner to make sure that tenants are aware of expectations. Whether they need to make alternate arrangements, or properly evict those not willing to follow the rules, something has to be done.

Hopefully, this will help your cause. As per your request, I will pose this problem to the people. May their voices make their way to both your neighbor’s ears, as well as the property owner’s.
If it continues, I advise that you make a complaint with the city to contact them. That’s my angle anyway, thanks so much for writing in.
