🌊 Instructor Spotlight: Jolie

Jolie has been teaching swim lessons for 2 years and loves helping kids grow more confident in the water. Her favorite part is building connections with swimmers and watching them improve after working hard in their lessons.

She especially enjoys teaching younger swimmers, guiding them step by step as they become more comfortable putting their face in the water and learning new skills.

One of her proudest moments was helping nervous swimmers complete their survival test, proving to themselves they were braver than they thought.

You will often see Jolie subbing when your regular instructor is out!

🌊 Instructor Spotlight: Jackson

Jackson has been teaching swim lessons for 2½ years and loved taking lessons himself as a kid. He enjoys getting to know his students and watching their progress each week.

His favorite moment is when swimmers realize they can swim on their own and start gaining independence in the water.

Jackson believes the key to learning is simple: keep showing up each week, progress takes time.

Jackson has openings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, be sure to send us an email to get on his schedule!

Skills Showcase: Streamline Kick on Front

As swimmers progress, we introduce the streamline position—a key skill for strong, efficient swimming. In this position, swimmers keep their arms straight overhead, hands stacked, and head tucked between their arms.

Practicing this between platforms helps swimmers learn to keep their body long and head down while kicking, building the foundation for smoother, more confident swimming.

Strong kicks. Confident strokes. Next level unlocked. 🔓Happy Move-Up Monday!

🌊 Instructor Spotlight: Amalia

Amalia has been teaching swim lessons for 3 years and grew up loving the water. She believes it’s okay to not know how to swim, that’s exactly what lessons are for! When swimmers start having fun, the skills naturally follow. You will absolutely see her and her swimmers having a great time during lessons.

Swimming has taught her discipline, resilience, and how to stay calm under pressure, and she loves passing those lessons on to her students.

What motivates her most is seeing swimmers grow each day and the happiness it brings to both students and their families.

Amalia is here during the school year as well as the summer

Skills Showcase: Independent Launch

In our Floaters level, swimmers progress from an assisted launch to launching on their own from the platform. As their confidence grows, instructors gradually reduce assistance so students learn to move independently in the water.

We use fun challenges, like reaching for toys, to encourage swimmers to push off, swim forward, and build confidence. Our goal is to help children move through the water on their own, not rely on the instructor.

Step by step, swimmers gain the skills and independence they need to feel confident in the pool.

Progress looks good on you!Congrats to this week’s Move-Up swimmers — your effort in every lesson matters.
