Here’s Day 15/30 of working in my sketchbooks again. I finished up the Suyai wrapper from Peru and have started another wrapper randomly selected from my pile. With the new one, I get to draw a map!

The 1st image is the finished Suyai wrapper, the 2nd is where I started today, and the 3rd is the start on my next wrapper.

Here’s Day 14/30 of working in my sketchbooks again. I did tackle the challenge of the vertical pattern on the black and white Suyai package. I finished the little wrapper. We got these little chocolates every day when our rooms were made up when in the Galapagos. Nice perk!

Here’s Day 13/30 of working in my sketchbooks again. I’m doing my best to put off figuring out the vertical border pattern on the Suyai chocolate package. It looks great, just a bit of a pain to replicate. 😁 Maybe tomorrow.

For today’s (Day 11/30) sketchbook entry, I decided to ink the wrapper and pattern that I’ve been working on. Fiddling with it yesterday moved edges around and the placement of the lettering. It was getting messy so inking clears up some of that. Tomorrow, I’ll erase the pencil and figure out the vertical borders. Maybe I’ll paint the little wrapper since I’m sure of where the bigger wrapper sits next to it now.

For Day 10/30 of working in my sketchbooks again, I figured out the pattern on the wrapper on graph paper and then drew it on to my wrapper in my sketchbook. Center pattern done, now to figure out the side patterns running up and down the edges.

Day 9/30 of drawing in my sketchbooks again. Lots of erasing today so it doesn’t seem like much progress. The patterns are complicated enough that I want to draw them out elsewhere as I keep making a mistake, erasing , and then doing the same mistake.

Day 6/30 of working in my sketchbook again. Today was playing with paints to see if I could get the same kind of pearlescent blue that was on the box. Once it dries I’ll see how it looks.
