Welcome to the 2026 Iowa SCTP State Trapshooting Singles, Doubles, and Handicap Championship Event! 🎉🏆
Just a few friendly reminders as athletes, coaches, and parents arrive on-site this week. 😊
*Do not park on roadways or areas marked "No Parking" as your vehicle will be towed. Please carpool whenever possible. There is additional parking adjacent to the home grounds located directly to the east and south. Please use the designated crosswalks when crossing the roadway.
*New for 2026 – Each morning, dedicated parking crews will be on-site to help direct vehicles and ensure designated parking areas are used efficiently.
*New for 2026 - There will be people movers making the rounds on the grounds and to each of the parking lots. They are 6-passenger golf carts.
*One-way traffic will be in effect on the grounds throughout the event. Enter any of the first four (4) driveways and go left (west).
*Handicap parking is located east of the Cedar Falls Gun Club Building. There are several spots situated on the island at this location. There are also two spots behind each shelter across the grounds.
*Reminder - No one, besides officials running the shoot, is allowed to have a golf cart, ATV, motorized bike, motorized scooter, or motorized skateboard. If people need rides due to mobility issues, flag someone down on a cart or use the people movers.
*On-Site Registration will be open from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 7. For the remainder of the week, on-site registration will be open daily at 7:00 AM until shoot-offs or at the close of the day's events.
*Coaches' meetings will be held each day at 7:30 AM on the east side of the registration building. These meetings will also be broadcast live on 's page.
*If you have not yet submitted your ISTA dues and roster, please send them to Lindsey as soon as possible. Both the payment and roster must be received before any athlete is allowed to participate. Lindsey will be available on-site this week in the registration building to accept payments and rosters in person.
*Text notifications will be used to communicate daily reminders, weather-related delays, and any other pertinent event information to head coaches. If you are not receiving these messages or need to add an alternate coach to the notification list, please email your name and cell phone number to [email protected].
*Designated practice traps will be open on Sunday, June 7 from 3pm-6pm. Starting at 6:30am on Monday, June 8, and for the remainder of the event, practice will be allowed on up to 10 designated traps from 6:30am to 7:30am and then on 2 designated traps for the remainder of the day [barring unforeseen circumstances]. Practice traps will remain open until the start of shootoffs or until 1 hour after the close of the day’s events. Practice tickets are required and can be purchased in the registration building. Cost for practice is $8 per round of 25 targets for handicap and American trap, and $8 for doubles (12 pairs). Doubles practice is limited to 12 pairs. Practice rounds and shells are available for purchase each day starting at 6:30 AM.
*Large bags of ice are available for purchase on-site at the practice window. The practice window will open at 6:30 AM each day.
*Campers can start arriving any time after 1:00PM on Sunday, June 7. No early arrivals. Use the site markers to locate your site, not landmarks. Please ensure your camper and tow vehicle is parked inside the boundaries for your assigned campsite. No campfires, fire pits, wading or swimming pools are allowed. Campers must call Cooley's Pumping directly at 319-345-6080 for any pumping needs during the event. Service times on the grounds are between 5am and 8am each morning. Call by noon the day before to have your camper serviced the next morning. You will be responsible for paying the $35 pumping fee via the payment link they send you.
*We will shoot in light to moderate rain and wind conditions. If severe weather does move into the area, we will delay and resume shooting when it is safe to proceed. If we are unable to complete the day's event, we will make up the rounds on the following day, as long as fields are available. We will send additional information to the impacted teams should this happen.
*Shoot management may adjust or cancel shoot-offs if they cannot begin by 9pm, there is not adequate staffing or volunteers, or for any other unforeseen circumstances. Ties not resolved by a shoot-off will be broken by the procedures outlined in the championship guide.
