We’ll see you on the lakes! The Sluggo is going to be treated to a thorough fresh water rinse during the and Ugotta Regatta this year. Ultimately it was too late for us to pivot to the Bermuda race but we couldn’t be happier with our decision!

A major adjustment for our 2026 plans. After careful consideration, we've decided to postpone our Pacific Cup campaign and aim for the 2028 race to Hawaii. With a new boat that's still unexplored, we've only just started to scratch the surface. To truly master the boat, perfect the sail plan, and ensure safety, we need more time. We're confident this decision will pay off when we start in 2028.

Working with sponsors and supporters of the program, we have decided to pivot the program focusing on another East Coast based summer adding as many distance races as we can. We are still finalizing our schedule for the busy 2026 season ahead but one thing is certain, we will continue to push the boat hard, sail fast and win races. More to come soon.

Meet the Team Monday: Tommy is the owner and skipper of the program. Growing up in Hawaii, he raced on multiple Hobie 33s out of Kaneohe Yacht Club and always knew that one day he would own one. When Captain Sluggo came to market he jumped on the opportunity to make that dream a reality. Whether it is winging, surfing, fishing or occasionally enjoying the luxury of sailing on someone else’s boat, nine times out of ten you can find Tommy on the water.

Welcome to the first Meet the Team Monday, kicking it off with Sam Patton.
Sam jumped in as our navigator after crushing it in the 2025 , routing Macondo to a class win. When he’s not buried in GRIBs, he’s surfing, sailing, kiting, and selling boats for .
Luckily there’s no north swell in July… otherwise we’d be way more worried about him showing up to the start in a sling from an epic Waimea wipeout.
