Second-Inning Spurt Lead Jefferson Varsity Bears Past Trullium

Jefferson Varsity Bears defeated Trullium 15-0 on Wednesday at Jefferson High School thanks in part to 10 runs in the second inning. an error scored two runs, Ava Gratowski singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Madison Duvall singled, scoring one run, Bella Treaster singled, scoring one run, Sierra Powers drew a walk, scoring one run, and Gratowski drew a walk, scoring one run.

Jefferson Varsity Bears got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Gratowski singled to the right side of the infield, Duvall walked, and Treaster singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Jefferson Varsity Bears extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI walks by Molly Hayford and Alivia LeBrun.

Emily Grube earned the win for Jefferson Varsity Bears. The righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out six and walking one. #19 took the loss for Trullium. The starter went one and two-thirds innings, giving up 13 runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking five. Jalee Leach threw one inning of no-run ball for Jefferson Varsity Bears in relief. The reliever surrendered one hit, striking out three and walking none.

Treaster and Gratowski each collected two hits for Jefferson Varsity Bears. Treaster and Gratowski each drove in two runs for Jefferson Varsity Bears. LeBrun led Jefferson Varsity Bears with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Jefferson Varsity Bears ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. Jefferson Varsity Bears were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Hayford made the most plays with nine.

#21 went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Trullium in hits.

Jefferson Varsity Bears Surge Past Summit Academy Thanks To Big Second Inning

Jefferson Varsity Bears scored 14 runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Summit Academy 19-0 on Tuesday at Airport Jets High School. Emily Grube tripled, scoring two runs, Madison Duvall drew a walk, scoring one run, Jalee Leach drew a walk, scoring one run, Sierra Powers drew a walk, scoring one run, Shylynn Dunn-Miles doubled, scoring two runs, Ava Gratowski singled, scoring two runs, Grube singled, scoring one run, Molly Hayford singled, scoring one run, Teagahn Geierman drew a walk, scoring one run, Leach singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.

Jefferson Varsity Bears got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Grube singled down the left field line, Hayford singled to center field, Duvall singled down the left field line, Summit Academy committed an error, and Powers singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Grube earned the win for Jefferson Varsity Bears. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. McManus took the loss for Summit Academy. The hurler went two innings, giving up 19 runs (15 earned) on 10 hits, striking out none and walking 10. Leach threw one inning of zero-run ball for Jefferson Varsity Bears in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking two.

Grosse Ile Varsity Red Devils got on the board in the top of the second inning after Malayna Jarnot singled down the right field line, and Jefferson Varsity Bears committed an error, each scoring one run.

An error, an error, and a walk by Kenzie Knox helped Jefferson Varsity Bears extend their early lead in the third.

The pitcher gave up four hits and five runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking three. ganzberger took the loss for Grosse Ile Varsity Red Devils. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking five.

Grube, Madison Duvall, Knox, Bella Treaster, Molly Hayford, Gratowski, Priester, and LeBrun each collected one hit for Jefferson Varsity Bears. Powers, Knox, Treaster, Priester, Dunn-Miles, and LeBrun each drove in one run for Jefferson Varsity Bears. Jefferson Varsity Bears had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Duvall and Knox led the team with two free passes each.

Jarnot, Marian McCarthy, Charlie McCarthy, and #34 each collected one hit for Grosse Ile Varsity Red Devils. Jarnot, Sophia McCarthy, and #34 each drove in one run for Grosse Ile Varsity Red Devils. Grosse Ile Varsity Red Devils turned one double play in the game.

Cayln Kay singled, scoring one run, Sierra Powers doubled, scoring one run, Audrina Badger grounded out, scoring one run, Miranda Locher singled, scoring one run, Abby Jankowski drew a walk, scoring one run, Ava Gratowski singled, scoring one run, Teagahn Geierman doubled, scoring two runs, and Emilie Cadle grounded out, scoring one run.
