BEAR COUNTRY DOES IT AGAIN! 🏈🔥
Our JV Football squad went on the road to Milan and absolutely dominated, bringing home a massive 46-6 victory over the Big Reds!
Huge shout-outs to the guys who set the pace all night—Braxton Pancone was clinical at quarterback, while Mayson Gilbert tore up the turf at running back and Drake Jacobs led an unstoppable offensive effort. On the other side of the ball, Eli Wagner and Logan Darrow spearheaded a ruthless defense that completely shut things down, holding Milan to just a single score.

Our Varsity Girls Golf squad hits the course bright and early at Green Meadows at 8:30 AM. Then at 6:00 PM, JV Football takes the field at Milan while Varsity Boys Soccer brings the heat to Riverview!

What a night for our Boys Varsity Soccer team! The boys put on an absolute clinic on the road, securing a huge 7-3 victory over Airport. Massive shoutouts to Jonah Buesing, Sawyer Shafer, and Cooper Jones for fueling the offense and finding the back of the net in an electric performance.

This victory marks a fantastic milestone as the very first league win for Coach Bobby Smith! It’s also a long-awaited statement win for the program—the last time we even came close to beating Airport was a tied match back in 2020, making tonight’s dominant result that much sweeter.

Huge congratulations to Coach Smith and the entire squad for bringing the high energy, playing hard until the final whistle, and bringing home the big win! The momentum doesn't stop here, though! The squad is right back on the road tomorrow as they travel to Riverview to battle the Pirates at 6:00 PM. Let's keep the energy rolling, make the trip, and cheer the boys on to another big win! ⚽🔥

Bear Country, WE’RE BACK! 💙💛 And what better way to kick off the new school year than by celebrating five outstanding student-athletes who are already making an impact for Jefferson Athletics!

Meet our FIRST Athlete of the Week nominees of the 2026–27 school year! 👇

⭐ Mason Tulik – Boys Cross Country
Mason took home the individual championship at the Milan Puddle Jumper Invitational, crossing the finish line in an impressive 17:22.45! 🏃‍♂️💨

⭐ Claire Miller – Girls Cross Country
Claire finished 2nd at the Milan Puddle Jumper Invitational and continues to be a rock star for the program — organizing camp, showing up to practices, and stepping up as a leader for her teammates. 💪🏃‍♀️

⭐ Jackson Vallie – Boys Soccer
Against #5 state-ranked Huron, Jackson was an absolute brick wall. 🧱⚽ In pouring rain and under relentless pressure, he recorded an incredible 33 saves, single-handedly keeping the Bears in the game. His resilience and leadership continue to set the tone for Jefferson.

⭐ Taryn Stevens – Girls Golf
Taryn is the definition of commitment. She hasn't missed a single practice or match while balancing golf and band, and she's competed through a broken toe and even after having her wisdom teeth pulled — never complaining and always putting her team first. ⛳💙💛

⭐ Caleb Henry – Football
Caleb led the Jefferson defense in a big victory over Airport, making multiple huge plays in crucial situations to help the Bears come away with the win. 🏈💪

Happy Wednesday! It’s an action-packed game day for our student-athletes, and we need the whole family out in the stands showing their support. If you’re staying close to home, head over to the gym to catch the Girls 7th Grade Volleyball scrimmage against St. Charles at 5:00 PM, followed immediately by the 8th Grade scrimmage at 6:00 PM. For those hitting the road, kick off the evening at 4:30 PM as Boys Varsity Soccer takes on Airport Senior High School. Meanwhile, over at Riverview Community High School, volleyball takes center court starting with Girls JV at 5:30 PM and Girls Varsity at 7:00 PM. Grab your school colors, bring the kids, and let’s make some noise for our teams tonight! ⚽🏐

Break is officially over, and the Bears are back in action! 🐻💥 We've got a busy Game Day today, September 8th, as Jefferson Varsity sports kick right back into gear.

First up, Varsity Girls Golf tees off against the Flat Rock Rams at Willow Metro Park at 3:30 PM. Then at 4:30 PM, Varsity Cross Country hits the trail for the Frank Connolly Relays over at Erie-Mason.

BEAR COUNTRY, LOCK IN! 🐻⚡ We are taking the show on the road all week long before bringing maximum noise right back home for Friday Night Lights!

Tuesday kicks off the road trip with Varsity Girls Golf battling Flat Rock at 3:30 PM, followed by Cross Country tearing up Erie Mason for the Frank Connolly Relay at 4:30 PM. Wednesday keeps the pressure on as Varsity Soccer invades Airport at 4:30 PM, and JV/Varsity Volleyball takes over Riverview starting at 5:30 PM.

The momentum rolls right into Thursday with Girls Golf at Green Meadows, Varsity Soccer under the lights at Riverview at 6:00 PM, and JV Football setting the tone at Milan at 6:00 PM. Friday starts fast with Varsity XC heading to MSU for the Spartan Invitational!

Then comes the main event: PACK THE STANDS Friday night at 7:00 PM as Varsity Football defends home turf against Milan for Military Appreciation & Hall of Fame Night! 🏈 Bring the energy, honor our legends, and make some noise!

We round out the week Saturday morning with JV Volleyball at the Madison Invite at 9:00 AM and MS Cross Country running the Huron Invitational at Willow Metro at 11:00 AM.
