What a phenomenal celebration of our seniors' achievements over two unforgettable days! Huge appreciation to our high school board, booster members, and particularly Lori Lyons, Veronica Terase, and Liz Brown, whose dedication made senior nights truly unforgettable, the love for our players was unmatched this year. 💙🥍

Join us as we celebrate our amazing seniors on Thursday, May 21 at Clem Lemire Park! Let’s pack the stands, cheer loud, and make it a night to remember for our players, managers, and coaches. 🥍💙

⏰ Schedule of Events
5:00 PM – Senior families arrive and line up by the End Zone Eatery
5:30 PM – Senior Recognition Ceremony
6:00 PM – Game Time!

After the game, all members of the Boys lacrosse team - players, managers, and coaches are invited to stay and enjoy a team meal together at the tables by the End Zone Eatery — a great chance to celebrate, laugh, and make more memories together.

🌭🍔 Come hungry! Rescue Dog Food Truck will be on site serving up smash burgers, hot dogs, empanadas, quesadillas, and more! Cash and cards accepted.

A huge congratulations to our very own co-captain, #2, Caroline Fisher on her commitment to Louisiana State University! A powerhouse on the field with 7 years of experience, including 4 standout years as a Defender for Newington. Caroline is officially trading her jersey for purple and gold to major in Business Management. Whether she was volunteering at Lax Day or making lifelong best friends through club lacrosse, her impact on the community has been just as strong as her defensive game. Caroline wants to send a massive thank you to her coaches, her teammates, and her biggest supporters: Mom (Carlie), Dad (Jarrod), and her brother (Connor)—for all the love throughout this journey. We are so proud of you, Caroline—Geaux Tigers! 🐯🥍✨

On the offensive line is co-captain, #1, Jackson Hay, a veteran Attackman with an impressive 10 years of lacrosse under his belt! After four standout years with Newington, Jackson is taking his game to the next level at Rivier University, where he’ll be majoring in Business and continuing his lacrosse career as a Raider. When he looks back at his time on the team, it’s the camaraderie that stands out most. Especially the bus rides home after games with his teammates. Jackson wants to send a huge thank you to his parents, John and Danielle, and his sister, Alex, for all their support throughout the years. We can’t wait to see you light up the scoreboard in college, Jackson. Keep grinding!

Let’s hear it for co-captain, #4, Maia Ouellette as she prepares to take her next big leap at Quinnipiac University! She is tackling a high-speed future in the Business 3+1 program, where she’ll earn both her Bachelor’s and MBA in just four years. Maia has been a versatile Midfielder with 6 years of lacrosse experience, including 4 years of dedication to NHS. Looking back on her time with the team, her favorite memory is the "Plate Awards," those fun senior superlatives that highlight the unique bond this team shares. Maia wants to send a huge thank you to her support system: mom (Jessica), dad (Patrick), and her sister and teammate (Emery), for being by her side every step of the way. We can’t wait to see you crush it in all you do Maia!

Help us give a massive shout out to Midfielder Bershon Jean-Felix ( #15)! While this is his first year taking the field with NHS, he’s already making his presence known and proving he belongs in the blue and gold. Bershon isn't afraid to get physical to get the job done—his favorite memory so far is officially getting that first penalty out of the way! Whether he’s sprinting through the midfield or battling for possession, he’s got the best support system in the stands with his parents, Berline and Nansky, and his sister, Skyanna, cheering him on. The future is wide open for Bershon…let’s finish this senior year strong!

Next up is co-captain, #21 Ian McGrath,, who has been a staple of the offensive line! Bringing 8 years of lacrosse experience to the field, with the last 3 spent as a key player on Attack for Newington. Ian will officially be trading in the turf for the animal kingdom as he heads to Tunxis Community College to pursue Zoology. Looking back on his years in the sport, nothing tops the pure excitement of scoring his very first goal. Ian would like to send a special thank you to his parents, Stanley and Kim, for their unwavering support through every season and every game. We’ve loved watching you play, Ian—best of luck with your future studies and your next big chapter!
