The 2025 Fall Sports season is officially over!

Thank you to our cross country athletes, parents, and Coach Garretson for all of your dedication to the team this season. While your support and efforts to grow our program may look different depending on your role, each contribution plays an important part in our success. Without that support, our team wouldn’t be making the strides we are today.

It’s been a great season, and I’m excited to see how we continue to grow next year!

Congratulations to our Girls Cross Country team of Maggie Smith, Kaylyn Kinsey, Lily Lopez, Ariah Gamble, and Clara Allen on a great season! The team ended the season with some solid runs today at Regionals, and Lily Lopez capped off the season with a great lifetime PR!

We also once again want to send a big thank you to senior Maggie Smith for her commitment, leadership, and positivity throughout the season, you’ll be greatly missed next year.

A big shout out to Landyn Rodriguez for coming along to cheer on and support the girls!

We’re proud of all the hard work, heart, and growth this group has shown all season long, and we look forward to an even better 2026 season.

Tonight we said goodbye to our senior cross country runners: Trenton Wright, Jacoby Tedrow, and Maggie Smith.

Each of them brought something special to our team, and they’ll be truly missed. Maggie’s bright personality and enthusiasm, Jacoby’s steady support and encouragement of his teammates, and Trenton’s fierce competitive spirit helped make our team what it is today.

Your dedication, hard work, and heart have left a lasting mark on this program. We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and hope you look back on your time with us with pride and plenty of great memories.

It was a cold and wet morning today at Obetz Memorial Park for the 7th & 8th Grade Post-season Cross Country Invitational, but both Scarlet and Bryson had solid runs! Scarlet finished 59th out of 104 runners in the Division A Girls Open Race with a time of 16:32, and Bryson finished 4th out of 118 runners in the Division A Boys Open Race with a time of 11:58. Congratulations to both athletes for their efforts today, and we look forward to seeing what they do next season at the high school level!

Congratulations to the girls cross country team (Clara Allen, Kaylyn Kinsey, Lily Lopez, Maggie Smith, and Ariah Gamble) for qualifying for the Regional meet at Pickerington North High School next weekend! This is the first time in over 20 years that a girls team has advanced to Regionals. We've had many great runners and individual qualifiers over the years, but team qualification has been elusive. With the OHSAA expanding from three to four divisions this season, our runners were given a new opportunity — and they made the most of it!

We'd also like to recognize the hard work of our boys team (Trenton Wright, Jacoby Tedrow, and Landyn Rodriguez). They went out and competed hard today, and they ran some solid times. It's been a fun season, and you should be proud of your efforts this year!

Also, shout out to Mr.Gadd for paying for our annual Post-Districts McDonalds trip!

Meet Schedule
- 10:00 am, Div lV Girls
- 10:45 am, Div lV Boys

Tickets: An electronic ticket is required to enter the district meet. Admission tickets are $10.00 for general admission and $5.00 for students. Tickets are available via the OHSAA's Hometown ticketing website https://ohsaa.org/tickets. Electronic ticket holders are encouraged to bring PRINTED versions of their tickets instead of relying on the electronic version of their tickets to gain entry. Children under 5 are not required to pay admission. Cash will be accepted at the gate.

Sunday - OHSAA 7th & 8th Grade Post-Season Invitational

Where: Fortess Obetz and Memorial Park

Meet Schedule
- 11:10am, Div A Girls Open Race
- 11:45am, Div A Boys Open Race

Tickets: Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Tickets are available via the OHSAA's Hometown ticketing website https://ohsaa.org/tickets. Once you enter the stadium, you will receive a hand stamp that will allow re-entry.

Today the team competed in the IVC Championships at Sandy Valley. We saw many course and season PRs today and couldn't be more happy for our team. This was the last competition for most our Jr. High squad, so we'd like to congratulate them on a great season! Also, special shout outs to Bryson Eckelberry for finishing as the IVC Champion today in the Boys Middle School Division, Trenton Wright for finishing top 14 and getting 2nd Team IVC, and Clara Allen & Jacoby Tedrow for bring voted Honorable Mention IVC!

This week was a busy one for all of our cross country teams! We kicked things off with a high school and middle school meet at Malvern on Tuesday, followed by hosting our own biddy race at home on Thursday. We wrapped up the week at the Indian Valley Invitational yesterday, where our athletes finished out the regular season on a high note.

At Indian Valley, our runners continued the efforts initiated by the volleyball team in recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month by adding a touch of pink to their uniforms. It was great to see so many strong performances and team spirit across all levels throughout the week.
