Pretty special when the Green Wave Football Family comes full circle! 🏈

A couple weeks ago, Jack Sawyer stopped by our game against Buckeye Trail to support his dad, our Defensive Coordinator Lyle Sawyer. From spending time with some of our players’ parents at the pregame tailgate to talking with our young Green Wave fans and signing a few things for them afterward, Jack made his presence felt throughout the entire night.

Those moments mean more than people realize. It’s about showing our youth what’s possible and inspiring them to chase their goals!

As Jack begins his 2026 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers today, the entire Newark Catholic Football Family is wishing him nothing but the best.

Good luck this season, Jack!

Winning cultures aren’t built overnight, they’re built at every level with time. From our 7th & 8th grade teams, through JV, and all the way to the Friday Night Lights!!! It’s about believing in the process and strengthening our foundation.

Proud of our Green Wave Football Program and the way our teams competed throughout Week 4.

As we take the field tonight, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families forever impacted by September 11, 2001. We will never forget.

And tonight, we carry that spirit of UNITY with us.
