Saturday night race recap:

Heat: P1 > P5
Feature: P10 > DNF

Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club put on a great show Saturday night! There was power wheels racing, many new faces visiting for the first time and Fireworks for victory laps!!! Unfortunately for us it just was not our night!!

Our driver did his part but the car just wasn’t having it. Nolan started P1 in his heat and held the lead for the first half of the race, unfortunately he was involved in a collision placed in the back and ended up with a flat tire slowing him way down and finishing in last. He never gave up tho! We swapped the tire out and made some other adjustments during the break.

Feature time Nolan started 10th out of an 11 car field moved his way up to 8th in the first lap but while making a pass his car jumped the huggie rail and popped the chain, brought him into the pits, got the chain on and as we pushed him back out the chain snapped!! We tried our best to get it fixed under caution but just ran out of time and our night was done!!! That’s racing though some times it’s just not your night.

A huge thank you to all the dads in the pits that were scrambling to try and get him back out there we wouldn’t have came as close as we did without your help!!

TONIGHTS THE NIGHT!! Night race at Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club! The fun kicks off at 4pm with power wheels racing and than 1/4 midgets take the track at 6pm!! Come out and watch these kids tear up the track!

Thursday night MCQMRC race recap:

Features only: (7 cars)
P2 > P5

Nolan had a great start at P2 holding onto the position for the first couple laps, he wrecked in turn 3&4 defending his position. The wreck would cause him to lose his chain and he lost a bolt on an outside radius rod. We pushed him into the pit and got the chain back on and thankfully the parts trailer was right next to us we were able to reattach his radius rod and get him back on the track. Starting from the rear of the field on the restart Nolan was able to work his way back to P4 before a late pass with 2 laps to go would drop him back to P5 to finish.

Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club is proud to host two semi-annual Driver Experience Days for local youth interested in learning about the exciting sport of .25 midget racing! 🏎️💨

🏁 Who can participate?
Drivers must be 4 years & 6 months through 16 years old. No experience is necessary! Our club volunteers will provide the training, equipment, and safety gear needed to get you started.

✨ PLUS! Members and attendees are invited to participate in our Quarter Midget Flea Market bring your equipment to sell or come shop for something new!
