The Mavericks' front office is officially finalizing the roster ahead of opening night! 🐴📋

While Dallas made the incredibly easy decision to exercise the third-year team option on reigning Rookie of the Year Cooper Flagg, they also had to make some tough cuts. The team officially announced they are waiving sharpshooting guard John Poulakidas from his two-way contract and releasing Seth Lundy from his training camp deal. With Flagg completely locked in as the franchise cornerstone and a brand-new two-way spot officially open, it looks like Dallas might be targeting another playmaker before the season begins!

Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving are already building insane chemistry! 🐴🔥

Despite the Mavericks falling to the Hawks 135-111 in their preseason finale, there were some massive bright spots for the Dallas offense. While Flagg dominated the glass and secured a monster double-double, veteran superstar Kyrie Irving looked phenomenal in his second game back, dropping 18 points and knocking down five triples! Head coach Dusty May heavily praised Irving's elite playmaking, noting that his gravity consistently drew multiple defenders and created wide-open looks for the reigning Rookie of the Year.

"Cooper Flagg is absolutely ready for Year 2! 🐴🔥

Despite the Mavericks falling to the Hawks in their preseason finale, the reigning Rookie of the Year put on an absolute clinic. Are the Mavericks relying too heavily on their two biggest stars? 🐴🤔

On the latest episode of Locked On Mavs, Nick Angstadt and the crew completely broke down the Mavericks' performance against the Hawks, and they spotted some massive red flags. While superstar rookie Cooper Flagg and a healthy Kyrie Irving look absolutely phenomenal, the rest of the Dallas roster is raising some serious question marks. With major concerns surrounding team defense, offensive consistency, and overall rotational depth, Dusty May definitely has his work cut out for him.

Fantasy managers are all-in on Cooper Flagg 🔥

In ESPN’s latest 8-team roto mock draft, the 19-year-old Mavericks star was snatched up 7th overall — before the first round even closed.

Jokic, Wemby, Luka, SGA, Ant… then Coop.
That’s how high the hype is heading into Year 2.
Meanwhile Curry fell to 32 and Kyrie went in Round 7. The league is officially treating Flagg like a top-tier fantasy stud.

Who’s drafting him in the first round this year?

Cooper Flagg’s hype just entered rare air 🔥

In the latest NBA GM Survey, the 19-year-old was one of only THREE players to receive votes for “Who would you start a franchise with right now?”
The other two? Victor Wembanyama and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
That’s it. That’s the list.

After one season, Coop is already being talked about like a true franchise cornerstone and future face of the league. The noise is getting louder… and the Mavs are sitting on something special.

Who else is all the way in on the Flagg era?

Cooper Flagg keeps studying Kevin Durant — and the league is taking notice 👀

After facing KD in the China Games, Flagg credited the Rockets star for teaching him how to get to his spots and play at a slower, more deliberate pace.

Mavs broadcaster Mark Followill put it perfectly: There’s no better player for a young star like Flagg to learn from than a scoring legend, MVP, and champion who respects the history of the game.
From Larry Bird tapes as a kid to studying KD now… Coop is soaking it all up.

The future is watching the present. Who else loves this connection?
