2024 OSR1 Champions’ jamie morrissey & Jeff Thies showed up last night to defend their titles and they did!

Jamie winning in the women’s field with a time of 4:42. Jeff with a blistering time of 4:11.

jordan caroompas won the non-binary field with a sub 5 minute mile at 4:58!

The OSR Proto Series is officially underway. Earlier this morning we completed the first of five races, the OSR1, and it was insane. Winners post coming soon.

Every Proto Series race is open for individual registration, or grab a Season Pass for discounted entry to every race and a free OSR Proto Series T-shirt.

The highest point holder in each field after the Proto Series Championship on Halloween, the night before the NYC Marathon, wins $2,000.

Running through Times Square at 1am in the rain. The OSR1 has two returning champions jamie morrissey & Jeff Thies coming to defend their title.

No one does it like Orchard Street Runners.

The OSR Proto Series kicks off at 1 AM, rain or shine! The series is starting with a 1 mile sprint through the heart of New York City.

We want to give a huge shout to the OSR community for always being so supportive! It is because of you guys showing up and running, that makes it possible for us to do this.

All spectators are welcome to join us at 11pm at Mustang Harry’s! Live race coverage and the leaders in each field will be displayed across all screens at Race HQ.

2026 OSR1 registration closes at 12:00 PM today. Photo finish at the 2024 OSR1. Jeff Thies and Eric Holt were neck and neck all the way down 7th Ave until a garbage truck forced them to choose different lines around it. Jeff came out ahead by the finest of margins.

Both runners finished in 4:15, but Jeff was just 0.11 seconds faster. Jeff is back to defend.

Even in a one-mile sprint, it’s not just about speed.

jamie morrissey won the 2024 Women’s Race in 4:58, finishing about 10 seconds ahead of jendimasciodonohue , who took second in 5:08. Jen has been asking for OSR1 to come back for almost two years, and something tells me she’s coming for the crown this time.

Jamie, meanwhile, is coming off a stellar 3:13 victory at the 2026 OSR30. No athlete has ever won both OSR’s shortest and longest races. Can she become the first to win both in the same year?

We’ll find out Thursday morning.

Saguaro (Sof) Camacho is one of the most talented and consistently fast athletes in OSR history, with wins across a handful of Bread Routes, the 2025 OSR Prototype Race, and OSRMA in Milan, to name a few.

This time, they’ll be lining up against jordan caroompas , another OSR Champion whose name has repeatedly appeared among the top finishers over the last few years, especially in those early-morning Bread Routes.

Two proven OSR competitors, both with plenty of history behind them. Thursday morning is going to be sick.
