CCNY Women’s Soccer has been selected second in the 2026 CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll. ⚽️

The Beavers earned 20 points and one first-place vote, entering the 2026 season as one of the conference’s top contenders following a runner-up finish in the 2025 CUNYAC regular season and tournament.

Sophomore Sara Dos Santos has also been named a CUNYAC Player to Watch after an impressive freshman campaign in which she recorded three goals and one assist while starting all 13 games she appeared in

CCNY Athletics mourns the passing of former Head Men’s Soccer Coach Roberto Ignaccolo, who led the program for 16 seasons (2007–2023). He guided CCNY to the 2013 CUNYAC Final and the 2015 CUNYAC Championship, while leaving a lasting legacy on student-athletes and the department.

The City College of New York Department of Athletics & Recreation mourns the passing of former Head Men's Soccer Coach Roberto Ignaccolo, whose dedication to student-athletes, commitment to academic excellence, and passion for the game of soccer left an enduring impact on the program.

The relaunch restores one of the most historic programs in collegiate fencing while expanding opportunities for future student-athletes and continuing the strategic growth of CCNY Athletics.

Supported through a multi-year grant from USA Fencing awarded to The Foundation for City College, this investment will help build the foundation for long-term success.

CCNY Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Joe Burbridge as Head Coach of the newly relaunched CCNY Softball program.

With more than 15 years of collegiate head coaching experience and 494 career victories, Burbridge brings championship experience, student-athlete development, and a proven ability to build winning programs.

CCNY Softball will launch as a club program during the 2026–27 academic year before transitioning to NCAA Division III varsity competition in 2027–28, creating new opportunities for student-athletes and helping grow the game across New York City.

This exciting addition reflects CCNY’s continued commitment to expanding opportunities for women student-athletes and supporting the growth of intercollegiate athletics at The City College of New York.

CCNY Softball will also be part of a collaborative effort among Division III institutions — including several current CUNYAC members — to help establish a newly expanded NCAA Division III conference focused on institutions in and around New York City.
