🚨 The future of CCNY Athletics continues to grow. 🥎 🚨

The City College of New York Athletics Department is excited to announce the launch of a Softball program beginning in the 2026–27 academic year as a club sport before transitioning to NCAA varsity competition in 2027–28. 🥎💜🖤

This exciting addition reflects CCNY’s continued commitment to expanding opportunities for women student-athletes and supporting the growth of intercollegiate athletics at The City College of New York.

CCNY Softball will also be part of a collaborative effort among Division III institutions — including several current CUNYAC members — to help establish a newly expanded NCAA Division III conference focused on institutions in and around New York City.

CCNY Athletics honored our student-athletes at the 80th Annual Sports Nite Awards Show, “The Bennys,” celebrating a year filled with hard work, unforgettable moments, academic achievement, leadership, and success both in competition and in the community.

From team awards and academic honors to inaugural recognitions and our most prestigious Benny’s awards, the evening highlighted the dedication and impact of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs throughout the year.

Congratulations to all award recipients, and thank you to everyone who helped make this another memorable year for CCNY Athletics.

🥍 BIG NEWS: Men’s Lacrosse is coming back to NCAA competition at CCNY! 💜🖤

CCNY Athletics has officially announced the addition of NCAA Men’s Lacrosse as the department’s newest varsity program, with the Beavers set to begin competition during the 2026-27 academic year.

The current club program will be elevated to varsity status, creating expanded opportunities for student-athletes to compete at the NCAA Division III level while building on an established foundation. Head Coach Ryan Garling will lead the Beavers as the program returns to NCAA competition.

The Beavers will compete as an independent program while exploring future NCAA Division III conference opportunities.

This marks another exciting step in the continued growth of CCNY Athletics and Recreation and the future of Beaver Nation.
