Getting back in shape is 100% mental.

I think Joanna Gaines does a great job here of showing how people should approach getting back into fitness and health.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is comparing themselves to how they used to look, feel, or perform years ago. They become so focused on how long it’s going to take to “get back” that they lose sight of what actually matters.

Just focus on showing up and building consistency again, slow and steady.

It doesn’t need to be fast and furious to work.
I thought this was a great video and a really healthy perspective that a lot of people can learn from.

Grateful to Dr. Rebecca Robbins for giving an incredible talk at the AMA today.

Rebecca is one of the smartest people I know when it comes to sleep research, and I’ve always appreciated her ability to take complex science and make it practical and actionable.

She’s also a great friend, and I’m grateful she made the trip and shared the work she’s so passionate about.

Sleep is the foundation. When sleep is good, we’re more likely to eat better, train better, manage stress better, and show up as our best selves. It’s also one of the most powerful fat burners we have, and it’s free. 😊
A huge thank you to Dr. John Whyte for bringing Dr. Robbins in and making today possible.

Legendary athletes Gabby Reece and Laird Hamilton joined me on this week’s episode of the Stronger Podcast.

We covered a lot of ground in this one. From Gabby and Laird’s approach to training, performance, and recovery at all stages of life, to parenting and their journey with entrepreneurship as a couple.

Thank you so much guys for coming on the show. And to the audience, you won’t want to miss this one.

Comment “CHAOS” and I’ll send you the link to the episode. 😂

I would not and could not be where I am without the senior trainers along the way that let me in the room… That helped me find my voice… And gave me a chance to ask questions and build my own system of training!!

This is exactly why we created our 2-day immersive program: The COACHING COMBINE. I talk with so many trainers, siloed in their cities trying to figure out things on their own, but it doesn’t need to be that way.

It’s time to bring our field together, drop egos, and open doors for one another.

Get in the room with us. Let us give you our roadmaps & help you build your own. Plus you’ll find your people along the way.

Here’s the challenge for you…

Write down 3-5 things you want to change in your health and wellness.

Put those in the comment section, I’m going to hold you accountable.

Let’s take the next 3-5 months and focus on one thing per month.

You will screw this up and make mistakes, but when you fall off you’re going to get back on.

This is micro momentum. Let’s hear your list ⬇️

I grew up with an incredible dad.

He was the one who first put a baseball in my hand. He taught me the value of hard work, how to treat people with respect, and how to walk into a room full of strangers and have a conversation.

He taught me how to handle adversity, how to ask for help when I needed it, and how to keep moving forward when things weren’t going my way. If I had a bad at-bat, there was always another one coming.

He taught me to chase my dreams, stay committed when things got hard, and never let setbacks define me.

He taught me how to respect women, how to carry myself, how to be accountable, and how to show up for the people I care about.

Most importantly, he taught me how to be a husband and how to be a father.

And those are just a few of the lessons.

He’s been one of the most important influences in my life. I’m grateful that I get to spend Father’s Day with him.

Unfortunately my kids are out working and doing the same things my dad taught me to do when I was their age. 😉

Love you Dad. Happy Father’s Day.

Mel and I are leaving Aspen with full hearts and deep gratitude.

A massive thank you to Chip & Jo Gaines for bringing us all together. The conversations and time spent together were truly special.

And a special thank you to Suzy Welch for leading us through her Values Bridge. Mel and I were blown away by both the experience and by Suzy herself. Her ability to help people gain clarity around what matters most in their lives is remarkable. If you haven’t read Becoming You, we highly recommend it. 10/10.

What made this weekend so memorable was being surrounded by couples who genuinely care about each other, who are committed to growing together, and who lead with strong values. In a world that moves too damn fast, it was refreshing to slow down, listen, learn, and spend time with such thoughtful people.

We’re leaving with new friendships, great memories, and a lot to reflect on.

Grateful for the experience and looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.

Some days the weights feel heavier than usual.
The drive to the gym feels longer.
Motivation isn’t there.

Show up anyway.

Every time you push through when you did not feel like it, you are proving something to yourself. No don’t quit.

So whatever you are carrying today, put it to work!

For years, this event has felt like home. It’s where I’ve built friendships, shared ideas, learned from some of the best in our industry, and connected with people who genuinely care about helping others. Every year I leave inspired, and every year I’m reminded how fortunate I am to be part of this community.

This year was different.

Not a day went by that I wasn’t thinking about Rob. Every corner I turned, part of me expected to see him. His absence was impossible to ignore, and it served as a powerful reminder of how precious life really is.

Hug the people you love. Tell your friends what they mean to you. Be grateful for every opportunity, every conversation, and every moment we get together.

I want to thank Chris, Erin, Charlie, Joe, Kyle, and so many others for being an incredible support system. Your friendship means more than you know.

To everyone who came out to listen to me speak, attended my hands on sessions, stopped me in the hallway, or simply said hello, thank you. I never take these opportunities for granted. The ability to share what I love with people who are passionate about growth, health, and helping others is something I’m deeply grateful for.

Perform Better has supported me throughout the years, and I’ll forever support them in return. This community is family.

Until next year.

The last pic was a workout rob suggested we would do back in 2019.
10 sets of airlbike. I go you go. You had to get the set in under a min.

One of the greatest goalies of all time, Henrik Lundqvist talking about setbacks, perspective, and learning how to pivot after open heart surgery.

The truth is, every single one of us is going to face setbacks in life.

Injuries, health scares, career changes, failures. Moments where life forces you to slow down and rethink everything.

What defines people isn’t the setback itself. It’s how they respond to it.

I think what makes Henrik’s story so powerful is the way he’s approached this next chapter of his life.

There’s humility, perspective, gratitude, and a willingness to evolve.

That takes character. That takes patience. And that takes work.

A lot of people think resilience is only about pushing harder. Sometimes resilience is learning how to pivot, adapt, and rebuild.

This was an incredible interview and a really powerful reminder that even the strongest and most successful people in the world still have to navigate adversity.
