Why do I love America, especially as an immigrant? America is not a perfect country but it's a beautiful country. There's no perfect country out there. Yes America has some policies that are upsetting, but we come from countries with far worse policies but we still love our countries of origin. Loving America does not mean loving everything about America. It's the same as loving a person but not loving everything about them. I have no reason to hate America. For me, hate is too strong a word and it has no room in my beautiful heart ❀️.

Me and this country have gone through a lot together, the good and the bad. I remember living in London, England and praying that God would send my family to America. God answered my prayers, and we moved to Washington, DC. My family moved back to Africa but I convinced my dad to let me stay in America by myself. I got on a student visa, got my Master's Degree, won the Greencard lottery and became a Citizen of the United States. The journey was not easy. It was lonely and heartbreaking at times, but God connected me to wonderful Americans and immigrants, and we became family 🫢🏽. God sustained me in this country against all odds and the rest is history.... πŸ™πŸ½πŸ˜.

For that, I am forever grateful for this country. America has been very good to me. How can I hate America for some of her imperfections. I might as well hate the whole world. But I won't. Love conquers a multitude of sins. I love the USA. My home, sweet home since 1996. Happy July 4th - Happy 250 years of Independence....Now let's celebrate this beautiful day!πŸ₯³πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.
