I bet you didn’t know that a pineapple plant takes this long to grow and it looks like this! I just learned this recently too…the plants main stalk dies after it produces only ONE fruit! So every time we eat a pineapple odds are it came from one plant that took 18-24 months to grow that fruit… now you know! 🍍 • • •

One of my favorite animals! The second clip explains why you can find these guys in the wood. We often think of wood as dry and dead but decaying wood is often full of nutrients, bugs, moisture and all kinds of stuff in between… like this salamander! After a rain in the fall or the spring can be a great time to go out and look for some of the amazing amphibians we have right in our backyards. Just remember when picking up amphibians, they breath through their skin so don’t have any lotions or hand sanitizers on your hands it will hurt them. Also good practice to not step on logs and flat rocks because as you can see these guys are often under or in it! 🦎🐸 • • •

The longest SNAKE in the world! The teeth on this reticulated python were absolutely insane to see up close! • • •

Swimming in Florida This is not something I recommend doing unless you are with a professional but it’s an incredible experience to see and document some of these wild animals in their natural habitat. It is a different world underwater! 🐍🐊🤿 • • •

A memorable night shooting wildlife as the sun was setting on the back of my truck! This is one of my favorite ways to shoot pictures and videos. I can stand on my truck cover which is perfect for having a strong, flat, stable ground to set up my tripod. I shot these videos on my EOS R8 camera and did a little off-roading in my F-150. My camo vest and boots are from These are the fall nights I’ll remember forever! 📸🦊🦌 • • •

Look at the spot on this fish’s head! Such a hard fighting fish. Full video from this day is on my YouTube channel. Caught this fish on a “dagger” in the “tilapia magic” color on a 3/16oz jig. This was paired to my .fishing.rods 7ft medium fast action rod and KVD series reel. The retractable net is from • • •

Look how amazing this place is! Catching fish is just part of it when you’re fishing a place as scenic and full of wildlife as this! There’s few things more exciting than an early morning summer frog bite as the sun is rising. Full video from this day will be posted to my FishLikeMike YouTube soon, head over there and subscribe so you don’t miss it! Caught these fish on my .fishing.rods 7’2” heavy BB Frogging 2.0 rod on a dark green frog with 50lb braided line. I wheeled my paddle board through the thick brush with my wheel cart to get to this amazing spot! When I’m out on the water I store all my essential gear and tackle in my cooler which I also sit on. Can’t wait to get back out there again soon! Good luck fishing go get ‘em!🐟🐸 • • •

A nice primitive day eating real food from the earth and jumping in a spring fed stream to cool off and end the day… it almost feels like this is how we are actually supposed to live!! There are few things better than spending days like this off-grid, no phones, no processed foods, no loud sounds, just resetting back to our roots in nature 🌎👣🏕️ • • •

Never thought I would have to rescue a crayfish from fishing line. We often think of birds, turtles and mammals when thinking about wildlife affected from stray fishing line and hooks but I never really considered crayfish to be affected by it. This is definitely one of my stranger wildlife finds 🎣🦞 • • •
