SHEA Tree Center invite’s you to “Minyan of One and Many,” a performance piece by composer and sound artist Charlie Lyttle that investigates the somatic manifestation of grief through sound.

Inspired by the teachings of Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, the project serves to honor a close friend who passed away. For 97 consecutive days, Charlie has been recording his daily meditations using a process of tape degradation and sonic facsimile, capturing his breath, heartbeat, and ambient sounds.

The 97th and final performance will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the SHEA Tree Center in Campbell Hall, NY. Charlie invites the community to join him for this recorded collective meditation. Link to register in the bio.
