Quinn and the Lost Unicorn
Quinn had always been inseparable from her stuffed unicorn, Unicorn. From the time she was three, Unicorn had been her confidant, her friend, her source of comfort. Whether it was playing in the playground or visiting far-off places, or visits to the doctor, Unicorn was always by her side. So, when Quinn and her mom set off for a fun event in the city around West 14th Street, they never imagined what would happen next.
After the event, Quinn started feeling a bit chilly, so her mom suggested they pop into the nearby Forever 21, just steps from Penn Station, to pick out a sweater. Quinn was devastated, and her mom quickly took charge. She retraced their steps, from the store to the train platform, asking everyone she could, but Unicorn was nowhere to be found.
By the time they returned home, Quinn was heartbroken. Unicorn had always been there for her, and the thought of losing her felt like losing a part of herself. But her mom, ever the optimist, refused to let the story end there.
“Don’t give up hope, Quinn,” she said. “We’re going to find Unicorn. I promise you.”
The next morning, Quinn’s dad sprang into action. He called Forever 21, hoping someone there might have seen the unicorn. The employee who answered the phone was deeply moved by the story. Wanting to help, he said, “I’ll see what I can do to make sure Unicorn comes home.” Read More in Comments
