🏆 ADVANCED SPRING CHAMPIONS 🏆

🎉 Congratulations to FRIENDS, our 2026 Advanced Division Spring Champions! 👏

🤝 The name has an origin. The team was originally formed when two separate groups of friends registered for the league, and we paired them together to create one squad. While the roster has evolved over the seasons, the name has remained.

📈 Their path through NYCWSOC has been just as rewarding. FRIENDS began in the Intermediate-Advanced Division and steadily developed season after season. As the group built chemistry and continued improving together, they earned the opportunity to compete in the Advanced Division through consistent performances against top teams. Today, they’re not just competing at the highest level of the league, they’re Advanced Division champions. 🏆

💙 It’s also a great example of what we hope to create at NYCWSOC: a place where teams can grow over time. Fierce competition and genuine community aren’t opposites. Week after week, this division showcases some of the highest-level amateur women’s football in New York City, proving that you can compete relentlessly on the field while building lasting friendships off it.

🙌 Congratulations to FRIENDS on an incredible season, and to every team that helped make this one of our most competitive yet. Here’s to raising the bar again next season. 💙⚽

This tournament is hosted by Morocco 🇲🇦 and features 16 nations competing to be crowned champions of Africa (🇳🇬Nigeria are the team to beat). The four semifinalists will qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. 🌎🏆
