We are a place for experienced martial artists to work together in a comfortable, safe environment - karate, kickboxing, Muay Thai, boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, etc are all welcome. We pride ourselves on being able to ramp up the intensity without putting anyone at risk or sacrificing safety. We are not a place for complete beginners, but are happy to recommend several schools to help you get star

ted including our host, UWS Kenshikai Karate and BJJ. Uptown Martial Arts' founders, Frans and Adri, have been training there for over 20 years each. Adri is a second degree black belt in Kenshikai karate and a brown belt in BJJ. Frans is a first degree black belt in Kenshikai karate and a blue belt in BJJ, with six years' experience in Muay Thai. Both have competed several times in various disciplines. Come by, get some sweat, some rounds, and some rolls in. Bring your skills so we can all learn from each other.
