2019 SEASON, is NOW officially over. We decided to run the King of the Hill at Evergreen Saturday, November 2 and Bethel November 3. On Saturday, after a rough practice some big adjustments were made. We cannot thank John Visconti and his friend Tom for the help they gave us in getting the car right for the rest of the day. Joseph went out and qualified mid pack. Car was much better than it had been. Finished top 10 and felt good going into Sunday at Bethel. Sunday, at Bethel, for the heat he started 7th and quickly made his way to the front to capture his first heat win of the season. Since the top three of all heats had to redraw he ended up starting sixth for the feature. As hes making his way to the front and running 5th, caution comes out. On the re-start just at the start finish line, carnage ensues and the car's front and rear bumpers are destroyed. Comes in for pit stop while under red and the car gets repaired. I cannot thank the team that helped us get that car back on the track. I really wish I knew who it was. They just came over, started working on the car and helped repair his front and rear bumpers. Ripped off the rear fenders and back out he went. Had to go to the back of the field. As hes making his way through the field, he gets held up by a slower car, taps him and because the driver has no car control spins. So, Joseph is sent to the rear again. With plenty of laps left, he tears through the field and gets back to 8th and is fighting hard for 6th, but runs out of laps. So, in his final rookie season in a Legends car has an 8th place finish after making his way from the rear of the field twice.
I cannot say how proud of him I am for the way he battled that whole race, and for that part the entire year. He had a great start to his rookie season, then had that bad wreck. He fought alot of adversity, frustration, anger and emotions thoroughout the season. Very pleased with last night's finish as well as the entire season. We hope 2020 brings much better success.
At this time, I would like to thank our sponsors, Todd Cameron, Allstate, DCM Fabrication, Iron Workers, Bill Ferraro, The Alleva family, and of course, the fans. A very special thank you to John Visconti, and Visconti Motorsports who made Joseph's rookie season memorable; Vinny Delaney and VDR Racing, Eric Hersey, and everyone who helped us at the track. I apologize if I didn't mention you by name. There are so many to thank every weekend. We look forward to the 2020 season. Please continue to follow this page during the off season as we will post any new developments.
Thank you again. Enjoy.
