The Orlando Baseball Association 's weeknight 30+ division is certainly heating up and it is already apparent in only the second week of the season.

With 3 former division Champions (Braves, Criollos and Sun Devils) along with newcomer, Rattlers, this division has certainly got it all. Tough pitching, great consistent hitting, power bats and solid defense all around.

All 4 teams have the exact record, 1-1.

In last night's battle at Bennett the Rattlers handed the Criollos their first loss of the season via a final score of 13-7.

Rattlers came out swinging as Criollos starting pitcher Peter Parrilla gave up 7 runs (4ER) in 2 innings of work and got a no decision as the Criollos mix of young and veteran talent shone through and began chipping away at the Rattlers lead.

Quietly the Criollos, led by Jimmy Lore, Jedrek Tylutki, Rick Garza , and Vincent Scott Porter clawed their way back from a 5 run deficit to eventually tied in the top of the 4th inning.

Unfortunately, Arias Adderli took the loss in relief. He shut down the Rattlers bats for 3 innings but in the bottom of the 6th, the Rattlers managed to take the lead on a 2 out, 2 run double and that was essentially all they needed to seal the victory.

Criollos newcomer lefty, James Osorio looked good on the mound throwing a scoreless final frame.

We take on the Central Florida Sun Devils next week.

The Criollos wrapped up the Spring 2022 ten game regular season with an overall record of 4-6 after an exciting come from behind victory last night on a 2 out double off the bat of J.J Rojas to drive in 2 for the walk off win in the bottom of the 8th and a final score of 10-9.

Below are our regular season stats leaders for the Spring 2022 season.

A big thanks to our player/coach Hernandez for keeping our book and making sure everything gets entered after each game.

Congratulations to all the category leaders... and now we wait for the outcome of some games next week to find out if we will make the Post-Season. 🤞

A new chapter and the new season for the expansion 35+ Criollos will begin in August of 2022... and we already have 7 committed players with another 4 pending.

"Announcement"
Good morning Central Florida baseball family!

The Criollos de Caguas baseball franchise is expanding our participation in the Central Florida baseball scene.

As most of you may know, my goal has always been to expand, grow and enjoy the game we all love for as long as we can. Also to increase participation in adult baseball across the entire divisional spectrum.

In our next evolutionary step, the Criollos de Caguas baseball franchise will be creating an expansion team for the following Fall 2022 baseball season which will begin play around August of this year.

We are looking for 15 responsible players to make up our new 35+ team that will be participating in the Pastime Baseball League of Central Florida 's next Fall 2022 campaign.

You all know how this works...
You commit to play on this team and I will make sure you have a secured spot on our roster but remember, the roster is limited to 15 players, so don't wait until the last minute.



As a reminder, the Criollos will continue their participation in the OBA's weeknight 30+ division and are looking to expand into the 35+ Sunday space.
