I think one of the strangest parts of parenting is realizing how much our kids quietly take in about us.
Not just the things we say, but our energy, our tension, our presence, our effort, and the way we respond to life around them.
And because kids don’t always have the words or emotional capacity to fully explain what they’re feeling or noticing, so much of it comes out through behavior, reactions, clinginess, big emotions, silliness, shutdowns, and bids for connection.
This post is really about some of the deeper truths our kids might share with us if they could fully articulate their inner world and experience of us 💛
