For Adam. Steady, patient, and still making me laugh.
For Poppy. Finding her way into our lives and becoming part of our family.
For another year through Zoe’s teen years, because that season is not easy and I am ready for it to be over.
This year also held loss. I lost my dad.
I am grateful I got to say goodbye and that he is back with my mom. Grief and gratitude can exist at the same time.
I am grateful for my body.
For its strength.
For the discipline built through years of showing up.
For the clarity of mind that comes from doing hard things consistently.
And I am grateful for the belief that next year can be better.
Not perfect.
But better.
