I get training inquiries everyday and one of the most popular questions from seniors looking to get fit is “I’m 65 (or older), can I still get fit and grow muscle?

I’m here to say unequivocally YES!!

Muscle mass peaks around age 40 or so, it then begins to decline due to sarcopenia, (an age related, involuntary loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength)

“A major contributor to muscle mass decline is lack of exercise and sedentary lifestyles.

Key word here is SEDENTARY!!!

Anyone including Seniors Can Still Bulk Up On Muscle By Pumping Iron…. Our muscle mass decreases at surprising rates as we get older.

But researchers found that people older than 50 can not only maintain but actually increase their muscle mass by lifting weights!!!!

Bottom Line;
No matter how old you are, you can still grow muscle and maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle throughout your entire life.

I’m here to show you what you need to know and do in order to reach your full potential.

One of the things that I see the most as a personal trainer is people procrastinating when it comes to their fitness and health.

There are many pitfalls to procrastination and the more you hold back from doing the things that you need to do to keep you fit & healthy, the further away you are from those goals in life!

Exercise is definitely not easy as is anything else worth attaining!!

With more than 30+ years in the fitness industry, I’ve been able to develop & make exercise enjoyable!!

Here are 5 tips on getting over that pesky procrastination bug!

1-Sit down and write what your goals are and how you would like to achieve them if you could

2- Take action immediately, sitting around just thinking about it won’t get you very far.

3-Set at least 1 goal to tackle, take action on it and then look at what it did for you after you’ve completed it.

4- A sense of accomplishment is a great feeling to experience, don’t deny yourself!

5-FINALLY, the most important tip is to contact me for your complimentary session and experience the joy of exercise!!
I’ll be waiting!! :)
