The saga with the Lancer Tactical Classic Army MWS continues. We really do love these. The demo build has been out on the field a lot, its been tested by customers, and the player feedback has been amazing. It continues to shock us how affordable it is and what you get for that investment.

We have more on the way. If you would like to pre reserve one send us a dm or give us a call. If you want to get a build going with one, we will absolutely work with you to make sure you're leaving with the best GBBR possible.

We've spent a lot of time with the new Lancer Tactical x Classic Army MWS clones. Needless to say we like them.

Having the ability to take a few of them apart and truly test part fitment as well as upgradability was an awesome experience. We also wanted to share our findings with all of you. Yes this is not a perfect replica. However for the price. This may be the best mws clone to this point. The Double Eagle x EMG DD PCC.

This is a comprehensive post detailing the good and the bad with this airsoft replica. This was a built to order MWS GBBR. Double Eagle GBBR replicas have really made a home for themselves in the GBB community and their line of Noveske MWS offerings have set a fantastic benchmark for a good GBBR.

But what is this thing? This is a colab replic between Double Eagle and EMG to bring a very good representation of the DD PCC to the airsoft market as a GBBR using the MWS system. With it being a PCC it obviously has proprietary mags, which DE did a fantastic job of designing so they should not leak and if they do the way they take down is very easy. So solving issues like that should be fast. However with the smaller mags comes a smaller receiver which can lead to some issues with aftermarket parts and the way they fit in the replica.

Disclaimer this is an educational and informative post. This is an airsoft replica. The opinions expressed here are solely about this one specific sample and may not be representative of all the PCC replicas within the batch. There may be the possibility of this being a lemon we will discuss that on the following slides.

With the initial goals of making this replica as accurate as possible, viable for outdoor play, and have the ability to hop heavy weight bbs. It was very confusing when out of the box the spread was all over the place. The replica was unable to hop heavyweight bbs (.32s and above) and at 120 ft give or take the spread was sometimes upwards of 6 feet. Initially most would suspect that the bucking was just bad or slightly out of place. However upon tearing it down and looking at the stock hop up. Its very noticeable the amount of play or slop that the stock tensioner has. For those who may be familiar with the mws system this also looks slightly smaller than an OEM TM, or DE hop up assembly. You would be correct. Running theme with this replic, because it's a PCC, certain parts are just smaller versions of the original designs.

Now the hop up chamber and arm are normal sized MWS spec parts. Thats great. But this foreshadowed the hiccups that this build would run into.

The new EMG KS-1 in an interesting replica. Its a new product, from an old brand, thats doing a lot right now. We're skeptical but intrigued. It seems to us that the KS-1 is the new "it replica". A few years ago the URGI was all the rage, prior to that the RIS II series. Its the new gotta have it design. However we are a big stickler for reliability and durability. In today's climate it has to be absolutely worth it to invest in a new product.

With that said a true airsoft torture test has started. We've put the new KS1 into rotation as a premium rental. If you are interested in it stop by the shop, we're open Fridays 3 P.M. to 11 P.M. then on Saturday and Sunday we're open from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. if you would like to reserve a premium rental ahead of time, head over to our website and reserve your rental today!

Upgrading an EMG CGS Historical line GBBR. PART 1

Since its release, customers have asked about the CGS and its viability as a TM-ish spec GBBR. With over 10 years of experience using and maintaining GBBRs sceptical is an understatement when the term budget option is thrown out there. But fixed carry handles are drippy so for science we must try.

Initially this replica could not hop .25s. Not off to a great start. However thats what we'll focus on today.

-Slide 2 you will find that the nozzle length of a TM vs CGS nozzle is slightly different. This contributed heavily to the hop issue. The OEM nozzle does not make a perfect seal.

-Slides 3 & 4 while simply putting a new nozzle in it will help. It could never be that easy. The CGS BCG does not use the same nozzle retention system as the OEM or aftermarket TM parts. Meaning you need to take a new TM spec nozzle, disassemble both that and the CGS parts. Swap the nozzle retainer parts, as well as the nozzle return spring. Then reassemble the bolt. This also means if your return spring breaks you must use a CGS specific spring.

-Slides 5 though 10 Highlight the spec difference between the TM and CGS hop up parts. The CGS using a completely different spec hop up arm, the adjuster is also larger. This removes the ability to use after market TM hop up parts. However the bucking can be swapped. We opted for a bucking, as with every GBBR we build. This is our go to.

-Slides 11 to 14 you will see the visual differences between the PH+, stock TM, and CGS hop up setups. The PH+ is a go to option for us, but the CGS can not use this setup at all. However the good of the CGS is that you can take the barrel, and hop up out without disassembling the upper. Thats a huge quality of life improvement.

Conclusion.
The CGS is not a bad gun. But justifying the purchase by saying its cheaper than a TM is not a valid reason after the cost of parts, labor and time to make it a field ready replica. BUT, fixed carry handles are cool again and for that reason it is a good buy if you're willing to invest in the parts required.

Should we do this with the new MWS line?

Is 2026 going to be the year of the GBBR? We're obviously big fans of the play style, and the fun that comes along with GBB airsoft replicas. But it can be intimidating to perspective first time GBBR users.

But what do you think? Do you think this year is the year we see the shift from HPA and AEG to high end realistic GBBRs? Drop your opinions down below.

Have you seen the new LTX gbb? This thing rocks even in the cold weather. Taking tokyo marui spec g-series magazines and parts. The design includes a lightning cut slide, with an optic plate built into the barrel to keep your optic stable even with sustained fire.

We'll have these up on the website soon. Right now they are available in store, and you could win this exact one this weekend at the 15 Year Anniversary Game!
