This week, on the 9u-Reese team we challenged our players to think about something that isn’t measured on a scoreboard.

Do you still love the game when it’s not going your way?

Anyone can smile when they’re winning. Anyone can have fun when the hits are dropping and the score is in their favor.

But softball has a way of testing you.

There will be tough innings. Tough games. Tough weekends.

There will be moments when the scoreboard doesn’t reflect the effort you’ve given.

In those moments, our job isn’t to complain. It isn’t to point fingers. It isn’t to feel sorry for ourselves.

Our job is to learn.

Learn from mistakes.
Learn from adversity.
Learn from challenges.

Because every setback is preparing us for something bigger down the road.

Our goal will always be to win. We are competitors, and we will never apologize for wanting to be successful.

But what’s even more important is becoming the best version of ourselves every time we step onto the field.

Better teammates.
Better leaders.
Better competitors.
Better people.

The teams that grow the most aren’t always the teams that win the most. They’re the teams that refuse to lose their passion when things get difficult.

Keep learning.
Keep growing.
Keep loving the game.

Ohio Blast 10U-Reese is looking to expand an already talented roster for the 2026-2027 season.

Our team has earned multiple tournament championships while competing against strong competition throughout the region. We believe development happens when players are challenged, which is why we play a competitive schedule designed to push athletes, build confidence, and help them reach their full potential.

We’re looking for players who love the game, embrace hard work, and want to continue growing in a positive, team-first environment.

We would like to give a shoutout to a couple Ohio blast girls from our 14u team!

Cass and Izzi came over to help warm up our pitchers today before our bracket play game. Our pitchers loved it and appreciated it.

The Ohio blast is more than an organization. It’s a family.

🥎❤️ 20 WINS. ❤️🥎

Twenty wins is something to celebrate, but what makes this milestone special is remembering where it all began.

Those early practices weren’t always pretty. There were missed catches, bad throws, confusion on where to be, and moments where we’d stop everything just to explain the basics again. We weren’t focused on how many games we could win. We were focused on building habits, learning the game the right way, and becoming a team.

And these girls bought in.

They kept showing up. They kept working. They learned from mistakes instead of letting them define them. Every practice made them a little better, a little more confident, and a little more connected.

Now, 20 wins later, the results are showing. Not because of luck or talent alone, but because of the countless hours these girls have spent learning, growing, and believing in each other.

We’re proud of this milestone, but we’re even prouder of the journey. Watching this group grow from those first practices into the team they are today has been the real reward.

And the exciting part? We’re nowhere near finished. Twenty wins is not the destination. It’s another step forward. The future is bright for this group, and if they continue to work, learn, and believe in each other the way they have so far, their best softball is still ahead of them.

⚾🧦 GAME DAY JUST GOT A LITTLE WEIRDER… AND WE LOVE IT! 🧦⚾

Ohio Blast Arnio 8U girls won’t just be playing for wins… they’ll be playing for the goofy guys cheering the loudest from behind the fence.

Each player will be rocking custom socks covered in their dad’s hilarious face because softball memories should be just as fun as the game itself! From beach bucket dads to antler dads, mustache dads, fish dads, and everything in between, we’ve officially taken Father’s Day softball to a whole new level. 😂

A huge shoutout to Areaeh’s mom, Teri, for dreaming up this ridiculously awesome idea and making it happen for all of our girls. Thank you for helping create another memory these families will never forget! ❤️

Tomorrow we play for the men who haul the gear, chase foul balls, grill the burgers, tell terrible jokes, and somehow still embarrass us in public.

Briefly trading the bucket of balls for a baseball glove tonight. ⚾️

One of the things we appreciate most about coach Matt is that he doesn’t just teach the game, he lives it. After spending countless hours pouring into these girls, encouraging hustle, teamwork, and a love for the game, he still laces up his cleats and takes the field himself.

And that’s what leadership looks like.

Leading by example. Showing that you’re never too old to compete, to have fun, to keep learning, and to keep loving the game.

Our girls get to see firsthand that the lessons he teaches aren’t just words. They’re values he puts into action.

So tonight, we returned the favor and showed up to cheer on Coach Matt as he took the field to pitch in his men’s league. He shows up for the girls so we showed up for him too! Just like this group always does! 🥎➡️⚾️

Because the best coaches don’t just tell players how to play, they show them.

Way to go Coach Matt! We are proud of you!

We hope you’ll come out and support these girls as they continue an unforgettable inaugural season. This team has given us championship moments, incredible memories, and countless reasons to be proud.

With profound sadness, we also realize that this weekend and next weekend represent the final two opportunities to watch this first-year Ohio Blast Arnio team compete together. As we head into next season, the roster will split into separate 8U and 9U teams as not all of our players will be moving up.

While we’re excited for what lies ahead for every player, it’s bittersweet knowing this special group is entering its final chapter together. If you’ve followed these girls this season, come out and cheer them on. Let’s make these last two tournaments together ones they’ll never forget.

🏆❤️🖤🤍 CHAMPIONS ❤️🖤🤍🏆

They did it.

Ohio Blast Arnio 8U brought the championship home from Pennsylvania to OH-IO!

This team has spent the entire season proving that hard work, determination, and belief in one another can accomplish incredible things. Every practice, every game, every lesson learned along the way led to this moment.

The championship game was a complete team effort. Ohio Blast Arnio 8U pounded out 22 hits in a 12-7 victory. Raelynn B was unstoppable at the plate, going 4-for-4. Annistyn G, Briar B, Leah K, Mackenzie W, Everly B, Casey F, and Olivia U all contributed multiple big hits throughout the game.

Everly, Casey, Mackenzie, Raelynn, and Olivia each drove in two runs, helping fuel an explosive offense from start to finish. Defensively, the girls played a clean game without committing a single error, showing the focus and confidence they’ve worked so hard to build all season.

What makes this group special isn’t just the wins. It’s the way they support each other, celebrate each other, and continue to grow together every single week. The smiles, the excitement, the grit, and the love they have for this game were on full display all weekend long.

I couldn’t be more proud of these girls and the families that have supported them every step of the way. This championship is something they earned together.

And if I’m being honest, this moment is a little extra special. Last year, I was told that as a first-year coach with a group of girls who had little to no experience, something like this would never happen. Thankfully, nobody told these girls. They believed, they worked, and they proved that with the right attitude and effort, anything is possible.

🚢❤️ BACK TO THE SHIP! ❤️🚢

For the second time in two weeks, Ohio Blast Arnio 8U is headed back to the championship game! Back to back tournament appearances on Championship Sunday is something these girls have earned with their hard work, determination, and belief in each other.

Today, the bats were on fire as the Blast rolled past the LP Rebels 16-3. 💥

🔥 Briar B powered the offense with a huge grand slam and a triple, driving in six runs.
🔥 Casey F continued her hot tournament with four hits.
🔥 Annistyn G, Ava A, Sutton E, Olivia U, and Areaeh T all collected multiple hits as the Blast piled up 24 hits as a team.
🔥 The defense stayed locked in and played another clean game.

More than the score, we’re proud of the way these girls continue to compete. Every weekend they show up, support one another, battle through adversity, and prove they belong among the best teams around.

No matter what happens next, these girls have already made us proud. ❤️🖤🤍
