St. Paul, MN - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) awarded 702 academic all-conference awards to winter and spring sports student-athletes for excellence in the classroom, announced on Wednesday. The winter and spring sports total of 702 was the third-highest total in awards history.

St. Paul, MN - The 2026 UMAC Softball awards were announced on Tuesday, and MLC's Kaylee Pickering was awarded Honorable Mention.

Here's a photo of current MLC softball players Kieghtan Rank, Kiara Humann, and Chloe Koschnitzke, along with their mothers, Tracy Rank (Krueger), Amanda Humann (Klug), and Erin Koschnitzke (Enter).

All three moms were players on MLC's 1998 UMAC Championship team, where the team went 16-10.

Krueger was an impactful pitcher for the Knights' rotation, winning six games on the hill, while finishing with a 3.03 ERA, which still remains as the best ERA in MLC single-season history.

Klug and Enter played primarily in the infield as Enter batted .410 and led the Knights in hits (32) and was second on the squad in RBI (23). Klug finished with seven runs scored in the 1998 season.

St. Paul, MN - The 2026 UMAC Women's tennis awards were released on Tuesday, and MLC had two of its players named with All-UMAC honors.

Congrats to Parker Winghart (SS), Aidan Berg (P), and Jackson Anderson (CF) on breaking MLC records this weekend against North Central.

Winghart broke the MLC career doubles record with 37 doubles in his junior season. The previous mark was 36 set by Caleb Christopher (2017-20).

Berg recorded the most strikeouts in MLC single-season history with 78 K's after he tossed 12 strikeouts in a 6-5 comeback victory over North Central in Game 2 of the series. Berg surpassed Zach Pudlo's record of 66 strikeouts set in the 2009 season.

Anderson broke the MLC single-season stolen base record with his 16th stolen bag recorded. Anderson surpassed Joel Heckendorf (1996) and Galen Holzhueter (2014) who each had 15 stolen bases.

Congrats to Kieghtan Rank on breaking the MLC single-season record for strikeouts (91 K's). Rank shattered the previous record of 58 set by Laura Miller in 2011.
