Another solid day of racing today for Colten. We started the day lacking speed but we tuned on it all day and when it was all said and done, we ended the night with a pretty good hotrod. 15 kids came to play and Colten was able to come home with a 4th place finish in the feature. Our buddy Jacob Deml was untouchable again but 2nd-5th average lap times were less than a tenth of a second apart! That's how tight these fields are. That makes 4th place finishes still pretty good! We'll keep tuning and working on finding that little bit extra that we need.

Day 2 here in Atwater! The sun is shining and we're ready to go!

Tough feature tonight. Starting 4th is a pretty tough spot to be. Colten had really good speed but struggled to get in a good rhythm to start. Got shuffled back to 7th. Made a mistake off of turn 4 once and started to spin. Had it saved but got hit from behind. Colten was charged with the yellow and sent to the back. Restarted 13th and drove his way back up to 7th. The kart is driving well and we're right there on speed with the leaders. A little more tuning and we'll try again tomorrow. Jacob Deml beat up on all of us again tonight and gets another case of 1919 Root Beer.

Back again at the Atwater Karting Speedway for another weekend of racing with the AJC Mid America Series! Shout out to the track crew for working their asses off to give us a place to race with all the rain we got. Thanks to our sponsor Fuel Graphics Co., we gave the 1919 Root Beer machine a little bit different look this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day. Can't wait to hit the track!

What a weekend! Got our first Maxxis Midwest Series races under our belt at the Atwater Karting Speedway. Practice day went really well and Colten was able to pick up about 3/4 of a second from his first run to his last run. Saturday he was entered in two classes. The BP Prelude and the BP Pro. Colten had really good speed and got faster as the day went on. Kind of a bummer there were only 7 kids this week in his class but they were no slouches and still made things tough! Colten had a really string run in the first feature, made some awesome passes and came home second! In the second feature, he had a another strong run going up u til the caution came out. He got to racing back and forth with a couple others and never could get back in rhythm. Coming to the checkered got tangled up with another racer and ended up stuffed in the fence. Lessons learned. No major damage and we'll try again next week! Also, shout out to our buddy Corbin Tarvis and a case of 1919 for him after kicking everyone's but this weekend!

Loaded up and ready for the weekend! I'll be headed to the Atwater Karting Speedway this weekend to tackle my first ever Maxxis race for the first of five Maxxis Midwest Series races. Friday night is practice day with racing on Saturday.

The races that Maxxis puts on are geared more towards the flat karts racing but they still put a lot of money up for the wing karts to race for. Excited to get to try one out. We'll be stocked up with 1919 Root Beer! Stop by, grab a 1919 and say hi!

Attention Wing Kart Racers

We have had a few questions for the Midwest Maxxis Series races concerning the wing kart classes so we wanted to help answer some questions.

Tires: You are required to run Maxxis treaded tires only. The required set will include 1 T40 5.50, 2 T18/40 6.50, and 1 T50 8.00. Drivers will supply their own tires.

Engine/class/age rules: we will be following the Upper Midwest engine and class specs rules while using their age rules as guidelines with slight variation.

Tire prepping/sampling: No tire prepping of any kind is allowed. Tire sampling will be done at the series/tech's discretion. All samples will be sent to Blue Ridge Labs.

If you are in need of purchasing Maxxis treaded tires, you can contact your local dealer or order online at maxxiskartracing.com

Waller Racing, Laukatis Racing, and Deroon Racing Engines, S*M Kart Supply, and Koopman Racing, among other dealers, have these tires in stock. We will have a limited number of sets to purchase at the track. Tires do not have to be purchased in full sets.

There will be end-of-the-year points awards as well!

Another pretty solid night tonight! 23 kids were there and only 16 made it to the A feature. Colten had a tough heat with all 6 kids being really even. He had to race his way out of a B feature but was able to make his way into the A. Lots of passing and good clean racing. Congrats to Jacob Deml for kicking all of our butts and winning tonight.
