Toners Lake Karting Recap:
We had a long, but fun, afternoon for the double header at Toners yesterday. Colten ran two classes: Modified Pro Wing and BP Wing. We were able to get some extra laps to learn the new kart and man was it fast right out of the gate! We're excited to keep tuning on this thing and get it really dialed in!

The day started out a little rough in our first heat - some errors on the kids part and some on the officials part. Colten ended up stuffed into the guardrail at one point. Thankfully, no damage besides some broken fiberglass. After a conversation with the officials, everyone understood both sides, adjustments were made and the rest of the afternoon ran smoothly.

Thank you to the Toners crew for working together with everyone! Also, thanks to everyone for the compliments on the new look. Everyone seemed to love the white Zero Sugar 1919 Root Beer theme! Overall a really good afternoon and a fun day with family and friends!

Just wasn't our day at the track yesterday. 16 kids were checked in for the Wing Rumble. The track was really different compared to normal and we just couldn't seem to get ahold of it and find the speed we needed. We ended the night with a decent run in the 50 lap main event, but still no where near as good as we've been in Atwater this year. The first feature of the day gave Colten his first finish outside of the top 10 this year so far - disappointing but still fun to be at the track! Congrats to Ayson Gordon for his win in the first feature of the day and our buddy Jacob Deml for winning the 50 lapper. Plus an extra case of 1919 Root Beer for Grayson Andreason - he was super fast all day yesterday and ended the night with some tough luck.

Golden Spike Speedway AJC recap.

Colten ran three different races on Saturday and started the day really strong. We had a lot of really good speed to start the day but as the night went on, the track changed quite a bit and we just didn't do a good enough job keeping up with the adjustments needed to finish the night as strong as we started. One of the races Colten ran was called The Leader Runs the Top. Whoever was in the lead of the race going into the next corner had to run the outside line above the cones. It definitely made for some entertaining racing and lots of passing!

Frustrating end to the night for us but proud that we showed speed most of the day. Dad just has to be better about keeping up with the track and making the adjustments we need to keep the speed up.
