Thank you to everyone who attended the Sandlot Baseball Camp this week! It was great seeing so many of you out there.

The Blacktips will be resuming this fall. We’ll provide more fall season details after a short break. In the meantime, please don’t forget our 13u tryouts will be held in early August.

🚨 GULF SHORES COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE is still looking for players — especially MIDDLE INFIELDERS!

🚨The GULF SHORES COLLEGIATE LEAGUE is now accepting applications for their 2026 season!

The league’s mission is to develop players’ physical, mental, and emotional abilities. Founded and staffed by professionals with over 100 combined years of MLB, professional, and collegiate experience — including former Major Leaguers, coaches, a Director of Scouting & Player Development, plus scouts and instructors.

They offer serious players who dream of advancing to collegiate or professional baseball the chance to train and compete under high-level instruction at the Atlanta Braves’ spring training facility in beautiful Venice, Florida.

All games are played at one elite, MLB-sanctioned site. A mini-camp will be held prior to the season, which runs from June 1st through mid-July, including an All-Star event and playoffs.

If you’re serious about baseball and want an opportunity to showcase your skills, compete, and get noticed by college and professional evaluators, this event is for you.

This pro-style showcase is built to help athletes:
⚾ Show their skills in a competitive environment
⚾ Gain valuable exposure
⚾ Perform in front of experienced scouts and evaluators
⚾ Learn what coaches and scouts are truly looking for

Tad Powers brings decades of professional baseball and scouting experience. After pitching professionally in the Orioles organization and making MLB appearances with the Cubs, Tad transitioned into scouting and player development, working with MLB organizations including the Cubs and Angels both domestically and internationally.

Over the years, he has evaluated and helped develop players at the youth, high school, JUCO, collegiate, and professional levels. His experience gives athletes unique insight into the tools, mindset, competitiveness, and presence that separate players and help them advance.

Players attending the showcase will participate in professional-style evaluations including:

⚾ Live batting practice
⚾ Defensive work & throwing evaluations
⚾ Pitcher bullpens
⚾ Home-to-first times
⚾ Catcher pop times
⚾ Broad jump testing
⚾ Live situational gameplay
