Successful weekend!

Our Team battled through a brutal 114F heat index down in South FL and delivered!!! Between new team members running their 1st race, to powering through multiple rounds of tandems & relays to keep a podium spot against some heavy hitters, we are bringing home TWO 3rd place medals!!! Well earned. We are home bound.

Deerfield Beach! We’re here! We did some on-course training last night and now we’re ready to rock n roll today!!!!! We rolled in here heavy with 7 from our department this time! Your Pasco Fire Competition Team attended the Tyler Vilimek Fundraiser for Charity event last night and what a turn out!!! Congressman Yeager and Unreel Marine, Krewe De Forti, Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, Let us Do Good Village and many more were in attendance! We all gathered together to uplift Tyler and his family after he suffered a debilitating injury while in the line of duty as a City of St Petersburg Firefighter. Prayers are with the Vilimek family, his department, and family. We look forward to his healthy and speedy recovery!

We had a successful day today in Akron!

We battled through a stacked field and came away with a 2nd Place finish in the Hybrid Relay and a 3rd Place finish in the FD Male Tandem. Even better, we both earned spots in tomorrow’s Finals! Thank you to everyone back home who’s been following along, cheering us on, sending messages, and supporting us. We brought that HEAT and represented our department and community well as always!

Akron! We’re here! We just got to the Airbnb and couldn’t be more excited to debut our brand-new custom lightweight competition gear. This is a huge step forward for our team and something that will benefit us at every competition moving forward.

A huge thank you to Pasco County Fire Rescue Admin and our County administration for funding this gear and their continued support in our rapidly evolving program. We truly appreciate the investment in our team and the opportunity to represent our department around the country!

1 week til the Pasco Firefighters Challenge team arrives in Akron, OH, for the Firefighter Challenge Championship Series Northeast Regional Event. The Team has two members making the trip to compete in the individual, tandem, and relay events. Run times will be posted as they become available. The event will be live-streamed every day on the FCLNEtwork on YouTube.
