Huge congratulations to our Lady Cougars on earning District 9-5A honors this season! 💜💛

First Team All-District honors went to:
🏀 Junior Guard Azelyah Henderson — 12.2 PPG, 6.4 AST, 4.2 STL, 4.0 REB, and 2.0 BLK per game
🏀 Junior Forward Travion Stewart — 16.2 PPG and 9.0 REB per game

Honorable Mention honors went to:
🏀 Junior Guard Noliane Eugene
🏀 Junior Forward Anyri Perkins

We’re proud of these young ladies for the work they put in, the way they competed, and the way they represented Edna Karr all season long. Congrats to our student-athletes on being recognized for their efforts in District 9-5A!

Appreciate the losses and struggles. Those are the best opportunities to learn from those heartbreaks. All winners have felt the agony of defeat but they worked, adapted and kept striving to be better. Be grateful for the journey! We will be better...💜🤞🏽💛

There's no such thing as a pretty win but we'll take an ugly win over an "L". Sometimes the rim is not nivw, gotta keep on fighting and keep on believing in one another. 100% team effort can overcome a lot of things and we will take whatever we can get. Big plays down the stretch by Jr. Guard Azelyah Henderson, Sr. G/F Faith Martin, crucial rebounds by Jr. F Travion Stewart and Anyri Perkins along with clutch FTs by Jr. Guard Noliane Eugene. In times of what seemed like nothing could go out way, we kept fighting and never gave up. That's "Cougar Pride"...💜🤞🏽💛

The road to Hammond, America begins Monday as we host Woodlawn-BR in a rematch of last season's State Semifinal game on Tuesday for the Regular Season/Home Opener in the "Cougar Den"
