My goal as your coach is NOT to judge you on how you look, what your weight is, what your starting point is or if you can buy the cutest clothes and shoes available

My job is to SUPPORT you! Help you give you the tools you NEED to create BALANCE between your health and fitness & goals + your life

I don't care if you have to skip a workout or if you indulge on a family trip. I want to FOCUS on the things you ARE doing and build on that. Not tear you down.

Show up. Do the work. You don't have to be perfect 👏

Here are some things I've learned after gaining weight....it may be different than you think

✨️ I have a lot of energy! I can do most tasks with undue fatigue!

✨️ My value is not determined by a number on a scale. Some days its a struggle to accept this. Other days it feels very empowering to not shrink my body

✨️I am STRONG ! I feel great in my body. I am pushing the limits of my lifts and am not scared to push myself

✨️ I am approaching eating differently. It feels good to fuel my body. For lifts, runs and life. I don't feel deprived or limited. I enjoy my food and am purposefully meeting benchmarks for my macronuteients

✨️ I have worked really hard to gain the muscle I have and I am proud of the phase I'm in!

Please learn from some of my own fitness mistakes 🙏

❌️Do NOT compare yourself to others
✨️DO focus on yourself and your journey

❌️ DO NOT be tempted to change work workouts every 1-2 weeks
✨️ DO the same program for 4-6 weeks. Work on improving your form and range of motion. Increasing your weight/load used

❌️ DO NOT rely on your memory to track your workouts and settings
✨️ DO use a notebook, fitness planner or notes app to track your sets, reps, weights and RPE to monitor and track progress

❌️ DO NOT skip your warm up even if you're short on time
✨️ DO a small aerobic workout with 2-5 movements to prime your muscles and joints for your main lifts (or warm up sets of that specific movement)

❌️ DO NOT expect to look like someone just because you are doing the same workouts
✨️ DO manage your expectations and give yourself grace. If you're looking to increase muscle mass in specific areas, include movements that target and isolate these muscles with the proper intensity

❌️ DO NOT skip rest days!
✨️ DO rest! At least 1-2 days to maximize your training , muscle adaptations and recovery

Here are 5 strategies to employ that aren't exclusively related to increase or changing weight

You can work on becoming more proficient in the movement. Practice and increase your body awareness!

Increase your Range of Motion (ROM)

Play with tempo (my personal favorite!)

Add variation in your stance or grip

Manipulate your rest periods!
