We have a couple of exciting announcements coming over the next few weeks as we continue investing in the future of Lakeview Playground.

We’re making significant capital investments to increase our capacity, improve our facilities, and make the future a whole lot brighter for all of our players. 💡⚾🥎

A new field. Major lighting upgrades. And more to come.

We’re proud of where Lakeview is today — but we’re even more excited about where we’re headed.

⚾️💜💛 LAKEVIEW VIKINGS TAKE ON THE WORLD SERIES! 💛💜⚾️

This past week, the Lakeview Vikings proudly represented New Orleans and NORD Commission at the Gulf Coast USSSA World Series in Baton Rouge—competing against some of the best young baseball teams from across the region. 5 states were represented across 130+ teams over 4 days.

These players showed what Lakeview is all about: heart, hustle, sportsmanship, and teamwork. They competed with confidence, supported one another, and represented our community with pride every time they stepped onto the field.

What makes Lakeview special isn’t just the wins—it’s the families in the stands, the volunteer coaches in the dugout, the lifelong friendships being built, and a community that believes every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and belong. The outcomes of the competition were strong!

9U placed 2nd in the 9U bracket
10U placed 3rd in the 10U A Bracket
11U and 12U may not have placed in the top team play, but they battled in the skills challenges and scooped up the top placements in ALL skills competitions!! Congratulations boys!!

To every player, coach, volunteer, and family: thank you for making us proud and braving the rain. You represented Lakeview with class and showed that our Vikings can compete!!

🏆 And just like that… the shaving cream has settled, the last out has been recorded, and the championship hardware has found its new homes. 🏆 💍 ⚾🥬

Congratulations to our 2026 Lakeview Baseball and Cabbage Ball Playoff Finalists and Champions! Thanks to every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter who made this season one to remember.

In true New Orleans fashion, we showed up, made some noise, celebrated together, and had a whole lot of fun. Congratulations to you all, may you continue to develop as athletes, friends, and Vikings 💜💛

Just one week ago, this looked like a very different place.

It’s pretty incredible to see everything come together in such a short time. A huge thank you to , , , our Board of Directors, League Directors, and the countless volunteers who stepped up when we needed them most.

Most importantly, thank you to our players, coaches, and parents for your patience, flexibility, and unwavering support. You helped make the week after the tornado possible and ensured our kids could finish the season doing what they love.

While the total damage will likely approach $40,000, we’re incredibly grateful for a successful season and for everyone who calls Lakeview home each summer. This community showed exactly what makes it so special. ❤️⚾🥎
