Testing racquet string bed tension is important and it should be done often. Strings will continue to loose tension over time and that will affect the way you play. Looser strings = more power. So the next time you start hitting balls long maybe you should check tension before blaming that forehand. A good guideline is to re-string once the string bed tension is reduced by 10-15%.
