As many of you know the kids program is a huge part of PMATC. I’m always looking for ways to improve and make it as beneficial for the kids as possible.

With that in mind effectively immediately PMATC is implementing a no devices policy for all kids/teens who walk through the doors of our gym. Whether they be members or not. They will not be allowed to use them in our building.

Recent studies have shown kids who learned from devices vs kids who learned by reading are worlds apart in how they develop. I am going to do my part to encourage and promote this. It’s sad to see schools and colleges alike do everything on devices. But we can do better

Friday is the only day of week where kids will be allowed to be on their devices.

I will be setting up a table for your kids to read, do their homework on, draw, or play one of the board games while class is on going. And there will be a bookshelf with books any of the kids can read.
