USFA Memorial Day Classic Finalist! It was another long day of rain delays and crawling in bed at 4:30 am, but I wouldn’t want to spend my Saturday with any other group of girls! Wishing them all good luck as they try out for their school team this week!

USSSA Mother’s Day Madness Tournament - It didn’t end the way we wanted it to, but growth is what we are after.

Hustle & Heart award goes to Kylee Price. She plays hard and gives it her all every game and is a threat along the base path. She always wants the next base!!

Playmaker Award goes to Sydney McBrayer. Her bat was hot today. She was hard on herself last week when it wasn’t working, but came out today with a different mindset. She was smashing!

As always, proud of each and every one of these girls!

We seem to be magnets for rain delays and late nights. After a late start to the day, New Hope Threat finished 3rd out of 14 teams in the USFA Ripley May Day tournament. They make us proud no matter what! Growth keeps happening each and every weekend! We will keep working!

Annie Demoville was awarded the Playmaker award this weekend for a diving/sliding catch made in the outfield. She told me she was going to be diving and sliding this weekend and she delivered. It was great to see her hard work paying off.

Fiona Mateer earned the Heart & Hustle award this weekend for her unwavering defense at 3rd. If you know Fi, you know she has passion and desire for the game of softball, but she is hard on herself. In the last game she took a shot to knee, but she walked it off and refused to come out. Keep grinding Fi!

We took the team to the MS State vs. Ole Miss softball game tonight to have a little fun together. A little rain delay prompted a little pickup game to pass the time! They had a blast!

Several of our multi-talented Threat girls performed tonight. I loved getting to watch these girls try new things and just love being a kid!!! Hopefully, they won’t be mad that I snapped these pics, but they left before I could get a group photo!

GrandSlam Who Wants the Bling - Champions! This Team! These Girls! The parents and Supporters! This is what it is all about! This is hard-fought success! This is countless hours of practice, private lessons, encouragement, miles in the car, scrapes & bruises, and, most of all, determination! These girls don’t quit on us, they fight and believe! They have left a many of tournaments dragging their bats with their heads hung low, but this season is different! Their confidence is soaring and they finally see what we have been seeing all along! Congratulations Girls- You Earned It! -Missed our Ellie this weekend!

Bristol Adkins earned MVP - She is something special! She has come so far as a pitcher and I cannot wait to see how far she takes it. Every chant and yell against her just fuels her fire! She fights through every count, and let’s not forget that beautiful slap bunt! Behind those mean pitches lies a humble heart of gold! So proud of you Bris!

Sydney McBrayer - Hustle & Heart award! Her growth has been so fun to watch! Sydney is like a silent beast! She can surprise you out of no where. She can put a bunt down anywhere I tell her. She has a great softball IQ that makes it fun to watch her play! She caught a lined shot straight at her on the mound and turned it in to a double play, and she had a great day at the plate. In addition to all that, she loves this game and never gives up!!! So proud of you Syd!

Kylee Price - Playmaker Award! Kylee is about as athletic as they come! She can play pretty much any position, has a great bat, and lightning speed. She lead off the championship game with a hit that I was sure it was going over (and these are not little fields with make shift fences). It was gone, I promise, on most regular fields. There was no slowing her down and she got a homerun! What a way to set the tone for that game! So proud of you Kylee!
