Blue Hills ride is cancelled. We're riding to Gloucester to support the GPCX race. We're leaving from West lot at 5:30 am. 70 miles round trip.

If anyone is interested a road ride is going out from West Lot at Wentworth on Saturday morning promptly at 9:00 am. We're riding to Blue Hills and back, figure between 35 and 40 miles total. It will be hot so bring plenty of fluids, Blue Hills has a place to refill bottles, and don't forget snacks!

What a race! Providence is in the books but not without some serious drama. Greg's cross bike was out before the race even started so he was stuck running his singlespeed mountain bike, retro fitted with cross tires. Tom managed to break a chainring at the start of warm-ups so he didn't get to pre-ride the course. Once we did start Tom got stuck behind a huge pile up right in the beginning but managed to claw his way back from nearly last place (in a field 117 deep) all the way up to 53rd! Greg managed to start off strong and was sitting somewhere around 43rd when his pedal broke loose of his bike. With 1 and 1/3 laps to go it was either DNF or ride with one leg so Greg finished the race one legged. He managed to pass one 11 year old junior racer and finished the race in 89th out of 90 riders who finished. Thank you to Providence for putting on a fantastic race. FYI the ride tomorrow is leaving at 8:00 sharp. Not 8:02. Not 8:05. It's going to be col and wet and I'm not standing around waiting for anyone.

Saturday morning, 8 am ride, meet in front of Wentworth Hall. Forecast is 59 degrees with a chance of rain so be prepared. Ride is happening no matter what.

Also, check out the Mayor's Cup this weekend. Going to be a lot really fast guys racing around government center. If you have your Cat 3 in road cycling it's not too late to sign up either. But regardless there will be a Boloco sponsored block party with a beer garden and lots of bikes. This Saturday morning at GC, if anybody is interested in meeting up before going over there just leave a message.

Hey guys as long as it doesn't rain after 3 today Wednesday Night Super Prestige will be happening as normal at 6:30 pm at Smith Playground in Alston. It's a great CX training race with riders of all abilities in regular attendance. So put on your knobby tires, bring 5 bucks (for race course supplies they buy each week), and get ready for that sweet burn. See you there.
