10/27 recap

Game 1 was the first of a double header weekend for team red who came out to an early 1-0 lead against team orange from a long point shot from Keith Powders.

Team orange fought back and eventually Ian Farmer scored the equalizer on a garbage rebound to make it 1-1. It was stellar goaltending from captain John and Jim that kept the score there and the game ended in an old school tie. The rematch is this Sunday.

The next game of the day was between Green and the tired legs of team Red. Although Red put up a good fight, Aaron Montgomery kept finding the back of the net for team Green. Final score 4-0.

We are back at it this weekend at the same times!

Week 2

It was another weekend of close games at the YBSC.

Team green started the early scoring with a first shift goal against team Orange. Team orange fought back and tied it up in the second period, but for the second week in a row, team green gets a last minute goal to secure the victory. Captain Cook with the tip in game winner, Green over orange 2-1.

In our second game of the day, team Red had its first game after coming back from fall break to face Team Grey. This was our highest scoring game so far this session, but Andrew Kramer made this a statement game scoring 4 goals and leading team grey to their first victory of the season. Team Grey over Team Red 7-4.

We are back at it next week.

October 13 recap:

Opening day and our first game was an intense back and forth battle between team Green and team Grey. With only 7 seconds left in regulation, Jesse blasted a point shot just over the goalie’s shoulder to solidify the win.
Green over Grey 3-2. Captain Wagner and Jake with the tallies for grey.

Grey had a short break, but went right back to work for the second game of the day on the big court against team Orange. Grey put up a fight in the first two periods, but couldn’t hold off the fresh legged Orange team, losing 3-1. Richards and Farmer scoring for orange. Mike Sholansky scoring for team Grey.

We are back at it next week with all four teams!
