πββοΈ Senior Spotlight: Andrew Coleman Young πββοΈ
From his first days in the water to his final high school season, Andrew Coleman Young, born in Charlotte, NC and later moving to Texas in 2012, has been a dedicated and spirited member of the SRG family while attending Davenport High School. He began his SRG journey in 2019 at just 11 years old, diving into competitive swimming for the very first time with two practices a week, and has since grown into a strong and versatile swimmer.
π₯ Favorite Events:
β’ Breaststroke (his specialty!)
β’ Sprint Freestyle & Sprint Butterfly, especially for relays
π Future Plans:
Andrew will attend Baylor University this fall, where he plans to study Pre Law. He has been awarded the Baylor Distinction Award for his academic achievements, an incredible honor! He is also looking forward to staying active by joining a club swim team or triathlon club on campus.
πΎ Favorite Memory:
One of Andrewβs most cherished and funniest memories involves his beloved cat, Lilly. After practices, Lilly would curl up on his suits and towels, drawn to the chlorine scent and even perch right on his head! Though she passed away in September, she remains a special part of his journey and is deeply missed. β€οΈ
From his early days learning the basics to becoming a senior leader, Andrewβs hard work, humor, and heart have made a lasting impact on SRG. We are so proud of you and canβt wait to see all you accomplish next!
π Congratulations, Andrew! π
