🏊‍♀️ Senior Spotlight: Kate Elizabeth Govin 🏊‍♀️

From her early days with Surge to her final high school season, Kate Elizabeth Govin has been a dedicated and driven athlete while representing Pieper High School. Over the past five years with Surge, she has developed into a strong competitor, bringing speed and excitement to every race she swims.

💥 Favorite Event:
• 50 Freestyle

🎓 Future Plans:
Kate plans to attend college, with her final decision still to be determined. She has big goals for her future and hopes to become either an orthodontist or a veterinarian.

🎶 Favorite Memory:
At the Round Rock meet, Kate was the #1 seed in the 50 Free and got to select the song for the super final. She chose “Fire the Cannons (1812 Overture),” making it a fun and memorable moment!

Kate’s determination, personality, and competitive spirit have made her an important part of the Surge family. We are so proud of her and excited to see where her journey takes her next!

🏊‍♂️ Senior Spotlight: Kai Adam Anderson 🏊‍♂️

From his first days in the water to his final high school season, Kai has been a dedicated and spirited member of the SRG family while attending Hill Country College Preparatory High School. He has been swimming for 8 years and competing on SRG for 5, growing into a strong and determined athlete.

💥 Favorite Events:
• 200 Fly

🎓 Future Plans:
Kai will attend the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to study Electrical Engineering, where he also plans to continue his swimming career.

💭 Favorite Memory:
Kai will never forget one grueling punishment fly set, after which Coach K told him he was a future to 200 flyer. That moment has stuck with him and showed him that not only is he his capable of overcoming hard obstacles, but he can make them his strengths as well.

From mastering all Surge values to leading by example, Kai’s hard work, humor, and heart have made a lasting impact on SRG. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all you accomplish next!
